Indian Defence Exports

Not sure who they are planning to use it against.. Maybe Venezuela but apart from that this will absolutely kick off an arms race.
Not sure.
Brazil territorial integrity is not threatened by any neighbor. It is a large, fairly industrialized country.

Maybe, maybe(???) they want to acquire the Brahmos to study the technology and possibly reverse-engineer the system.
Develop an indigenous version.

Doubt it, industrialised they may be but unless planning to sell the tech, they dont have a market or large internal need.

Yeah, the Brazilians probably won't go on that path. But as far as arms exports go,they have not done too bad in aerospace products.
The Tucano/Super Tucano trainer aircraft has seen decent sales.Embraer is doing okay, I guess.
I believe they do have ambitions of becoming a great power but Uncle Sam takes care to control their attempts.
Not too long ago they forced the French to drop their plan to supply the Vikas engine analogue to Brazil.
What we call the Vikas engine is actually a derivative of a proven French liquid fuel rocket engine.
The French were supposed to help the Brazilians to get the engine and its technology.
Then came the US veto.

Not related to that but they did warn Venezuela last year when they were threatening Guyana with an invasion.
India has her own interests in Guyana, hence strengthening Brazil incase of a future conflict against Venezuela could be a really strategic long term decision.

If what you say is true, supporting Brazil is good thinking and planning. Also the Chinese would love to have a client state in America's backyard. They tried to woo Venezuela hardly a decade ago. Because Venezuela also supposedly has the largest crude oil reserves in the world(more than Saudi Arabia)as per many reports. The Chinese wanted an alternative crude oil supplier aside from the Middle East.
Uncle Sam ensured that their attempts did not succeed.

There was a report last month that Reliance secured crude supply from Venezuela. Why will India allow this ?

India welcomes return of Venezuelan oil to market: Puri

"We are willing to resume with anyone who is not under sanctions," Mr. Puri said.

“India consumes more than 5 million barrels of crude oil every day and the demand is only going up. So if Venezuelan oil comes into the market, we welcome it. So do all the others,” he added.

The minister also said some Indian money is locked up in Venezuela, referring to ONGC Videsh Ltd.'s about $413 million unpaid dividends from an oilfield in Venezuela.

India is hoping to get the stuck money back after the sanction easing.

ONGC Videsh Ltd., the overseas investment arm of state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), holds a 40% stake in the San Cristobal oilfield in eastern Venezuela's Orinoco Heavy Oil belt.

The project is operated jointly by OVL and Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PdVSA) - the National oil company of Venezuela.

Who will do the maintenance of submarines? Brazil or India?

Is this an official direct export or an off the books export or maybe via a second country.
I read an article written by Snehesh Philip, he says India's largest weapons/armaments exports is to USA although he mentioned subsystems and other components but could it be that we are supplying Arty shells to Ukraine via America.
Even if its happening how did Modzilla milk this deal, we still are lapping around for engine deliveries which I don't know if the Americans are doing it intentionally or its really some issue.
What do you think?
