This is trumps India agenda, rest all is speculation. This woman is a fixer of highest order, she is a VC in silicon valley and present in all India-US business delegation meetings. Btw, she deleted this post, i guess because of point 3 (Piyush Goyal).

yes, have been noticing her since she came on the scene last year. her talking points and events she funds in U.S and India reeks of NRI arrogance, in the sense that either she and friends do not see or do not care that some of us can see thru them, that they are trying to replicate british brown saheb model with murican brown saheb model i.e represent murican interests while pretending to care about India.

Trump wants everything but specially after his chutiapa Trump will get nothing..

Meanwhile India is getting rest of S400 by end of 2026 and might buy Su57

there is one more angle, registered democrats with in US-India circles are subtly trying to sabotage U.S-India relationship because they don't like trump. there are hardly any republicans in public space, who openly bat for U.S-India relationship, this space is almost entirely in democrat grip.

only two i know of for sure who are republican supporters are coldpeace jeff and salvatore babones.

murica was always tribal, now even more tribal than ever, so when trump WH goes on tantrums, democrats in public space will take up parts which are in alignment with democrat interests.

This is really concerning. I don't know why we haven't done anything to up our rare earth refining capacity. We only started working on it in 2023.

We have the fifth-largest reserves of rare earth metals, at an estimated 6.9 million metric tonnes. Yet, actual production stands at a mere ~3000 metric tonnes per year.

I am aware rare earth mining & refining is a very complicated process and it produces a lot of pollutants. But we have to do something. Because those magnets are used in a lot of things aside from EVs. Even ICE systems use those.

Aside from that DRDO, Universities and Corpos need to get together to focus on alternative technologies like Iron Nitride Magnets. And other kind of alternatives as well for rare earth materials.

Untill we don't have self sufficiency in raw materials we will always gonna be hostage of these kinds of tactics. Only fools like our import khor can think China will be gentlemen to them and won't play dirty. China is trying to kill our EV industry because we are a competition to their industry. Our EVs are as cheap as their EVs. And they obviously don't want such a competition.

Why would they 'do things in days' whenthe tariffs are about to be stayed by their Milords? NRI aunties should shut up and smell the coffee.

Also, lol @ #4! Auntyji is telling GoI to bribe the orange orangutan!

Problem is American right hates India because they see Indians as having taken many American jobs. American left also hates India because they see Hindus as anti-Muslim and anti-Christian, but they are willing to put this hatred aside to further their other goals. American right is more short-sighted than American left. Vivek is quiet because he was completely sidelined after his support of H1b (he called Americans lazy and uneducated. This pissed off Elon Musk and Trump who removed him from Doge). He is now trying to rebuild his brand but I do see him as somebody that may try to foster the relationship once his public image improves.

JD Vance I think wants a stronger US-India relationship but the American right is still extremely, extremely sensitive over the H1b issue.

on their current VP, my understanding is that individuals with strong independent opinions do not get to become VPs, if so it would be an active threat to their president, only those who have no inhibitions to read the script given to them without question becomes murican VPs.

when he was visiting that palace the next day after apr 22nd, i thought the guy did not understand the gravity of the situation. he went back and said, it's none of their business, and few days later was carrying messages on behalf of pakiland.

in other words, JD Vance will do what he is told to do. of course he is just 40 years of age now, we can give him benefit of doubt when it comes to geopolitics.

Does not work that way. Trump cannot run for another term, so JD is supposed to be the successor once Trump's term is finished. However JD Vance will have serious competition with Gavin Newsome from California. Newsome, and his most likely successor, an idiot by the name of Ro Khanna, are doing everything they can to appeal to the strong Indian (Hindu) population in California. Ro and Newsome have already started their work. There are large Indian (Hindu) population clusters (with a lot of money) in Texas, New York, Maryland, Florida, New Jersey. There's probably a few others but those are the main ones I can think of.

If the Republicans want to win their support, they will need more than just Vivek Ramaswamy to do so.

I mean I work primarily as a contractor in a global capability centre for a huge US company and sometimes do have to attend meetings and call at US times and when I check my org (main US headquarters)almost half of the engineer's are Indian. It's quite funny to hear telegu when you're in a call with people from California

This incentive was always there. They are now just gonna fast track it. It's part of the National Mission for Critical Earth Minerals. I think they even built a rare earth refinery under this programme 1-2 years ago. Issue is lack of any private participation. We need those guys to scale this up further.

Heck according to this article we supposedly export Neodymium to Japan.

This is precisely what has pissed off the American right. Btw I have many many American friends who are upset about this too because they cannot find work. All their jobs are taken by H1bs

Idk if this is the right forum for this or not but is there any hope of the Indian Neutrino Observatory being restarted? It never should have been shuttered.

these indian converts proudly name themself, after those invaders (british etc) name. who killed 167 millions of their indian ancestors in their created famine, looted nd slaved many etc. these famine death by hunger is most brutal killings, when u r watching ur whole family members r dying nd suffering slowly for several days without food😭🥺....these converts r shameless nd disgusting people🤮🤮

If the true current India's economic power is somewhere like China during 2002-2004, India should focus on the low hanging fruit, like textile, shipbuilding, assembly line industries with enough infra investment.

But let me account how many fancy sectors you are investing:
1. Chips R&D
2. 5 Gen fighters
3. AI R&D
4. now rare earth refinery
5. EV
... ...

The outcome would be none of them would be successful or got delayed and delay. But the relatively "simple" industries like textile and shipbuilding are still nowhere compares to even Bangle or Vietnam.

China invested around 20Billion USD to a single LED maker BOE with 10 yrs. But if your government wants to invest all with few 100s millions of USD each in current stage, you might get none.
