Indian Economy (10 Viewers)

This is just hopium lol. China already has one of the best sports ecosystem in the world already who go on and win 100+ medals every olympics. IPL is bigger because most Indians only watch cricket that's why it has such big revenue. Indians don't have appetite for any other sports execpt cricket and some who watch kabaddi, football etc. If someone don't know, Hockey had the first franchise league in India even before IPL started. But it failed. Same with HIL which got shut down in 2017 and now again it has started. I hope it doesn't get shut down again. YT highlights of HIL barely reaches 10k views. Chinks have improved a lot in hockey, there women won silver medal in Paris meanwhile our women didn't even qualify. THeir men's team is also improving rapidly. Our men's team post olympics is going downhill too. Men ended up 8th in Pro league and women's team got relegated. I won't be surprised if we win 0 medals in LA. China is usually known for being bad at Team sports. But they are improving really well at team sports compared to vishwaguru who is doing nothing.
Olympic sports are a joke

How does one get good at "synchronized diving"???

That's not an option any normal kid has.

Bugmen had a 5 year plan to win a lot of medals and executed.

I also expressed some of the same points you made in my previous post. You beat me to them especially future of ISL.

On IPL. Just think about it. We have one of the largest domestic sports league just at 4T GDP. A 12T GDP economy will actually sustain some more big domestic sports leagues even if IPL corners major consumer spending.

IPL has transformed Indian Cricket and Indian Sports Ecosystem. It creates new Crorepati cricket players every year. Cricket is now financially viable career choice for many. Just make it to IPL. Worst you can do is accumulate as much money as 10 years of an average Sarkaari job in a single season.

IPL has actually made me favor domestic sports leagues over international tournaments. IPL has brought revolution in Indian cricket. We now have more and better cricketers. Player earnings are more. I just can't overlook it and pine for more domestic sports league.

3-4 sports leagues with good viewership and we will have a good sporting infrastructure. It will have beneficial second order effects on our ecosystem.
guys...some days ago i randomly get youtube video of kho kho 2025 world cup. i didnt know that kho kho, which is a indian origin game reach at international level. i think more countries r participating in kho kho world cup than kabaddi world cup 😳😳. i didnt check, but its still small in economy nd valuation. next we need internationalisation of indian games like piddu, gulli danda, baagh bakri, vish amrit, murga jhapat etc legendary indian games. 😂😛🥶

Swimming and Gymnastics have variety of versions and it is basically USA and China getting medals. And people have the audacity to say Cricket is only viewed by Sub continent. This arise the question who the heck watch Gymnastics, Netball, Handball at large.

Yes. Stagnant salary growth has been a persistent issue. The government often promises to ensure that Indian employees receive a living wage rather than just a minimum wage. But I don't understand how they actually plan to achieve this? Government decreasing corporate taxes assuming the companies would do it themselves has not produced any results.
india will be SUVfied😍.... hatchback nd sedan will be rare piece in indian roads. girls look good in small size sedan nd hatchback 😛😂. only luxury segment of sedan nd hatchback of audi, Mercedes, bmw etc look good. these r out of pocket, so no need to buy sedan nd hatchbacks. they feel like private taxy walas car. i dont know when last time i sit on any sedan nd hatchback. 😛😂

Bro, Kabaddi is not just PKL. It is also an international sport. Its just that PKL has successfully overshadowed its other tournaments. One of my first exposure to international Kabaddi was Kabaddi World Cup organized by Punjab Govt. I was just a kid. I didn't understand much. I think it was circle kabaddi.

I think we can ask BCCI to finance an Indian street sports tournaments. Get some of them into olympics. Olympics already have some joke sports in it. What more harm can induction of Gulli Danda and vish amrit can do to its status??

Kho-Kho really has a good following. Let us hope we get to see it more. I think in end, maybe in 2040 when we will have enough economic size. Some companies may actually commercialize our street sports.

Bro, Hatchback had good utility. Swift was and is an amazing car. Only problem is low GC. CSUVs are raised hatchbacks in reality.
Coming to sedans. VW Twins have excellent GC. I don't think a road that needs more GC is actually suitable for PVs. On aesthetics front. Well, I am a sedan guy. I feel more comfortable driving a sedan than CSUVs. I like taking occasional High speed curves, that thrill is unmatchable. Yes, I drive safely. I do not regularly make high speed curves. Just once in a while when i am alone, road is empty in peak afternoon. It jumpstarts my heart.

Man dies After falling into an open drain in Gurugram. This just a few days after a graphic designer was electrocuted by a live wire dangling on a flooded road.

The situation in India today is so dire that you cannot walk even 10 meters from your home without significantly risking your life. Last month, I was walking toward the revenue inspector's office to pay my land tax when street dogs attacked me. Thankfully, I had a long-handled umbrella to protect myself.
Even if you manage to escape street dogs and other dangerous animals, you still face open drains, potholes, exposed live wires, reckless driving, and poor traffic management—any of which could send you straight to the grave.

This is why debating GDP growth rates and the size of the economy is pointless when safe living conditions remain elusive.

Ye kya logic hai bhai, why behave like India is some mine field? Ofc living conditions need to improve. A lot of problems are there. But NGL some people like you here over exaggerate things like getting out of your house is death warrant in India. And like there has been zero improvement in last 20-30 years.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not calling India a perfect country or without any problems. There are issues. But these kind of over exaggerated rhetoric doesn't serve anything. That man died it is sad. Relevant authorities should be criticised for it. If people want to protest they should. But doesn't mean you start acting like India is some minefield where any day you can die because of some random bs.

people acting like as if india was equivalent to united states in living condition and development before 2014. in 11 years you wont get infra like usa, and a mentality change too. bkc is now near equivalent of phorenland.

as for an angry bharatiya above, pls go out and touch grass.

Things won't be better with Congress either.

The issue is with DEMOCRACY.

Tell me, do you think Congress will punish the Government employees responsible for the project or the Private contractors who do infra projects?

DEMOCRACY and Bureaucracy under Democracy ensure that nobody faces consequences for bad infra.
