Indian Economy

It will be fully sustainable, let me tell you what they, the USA government will tell to their loan sharks, They will point that the USA government is fully investing or grabbing the sure future growth resources.

That's why you see them always near oil fields and vying for russia, canada, panama etc. territory.

Why? so that next loan payment can keep coming in the hope that USA get those oil fields, etc.

Blackrock was given half of ukraine, bread basket of Europe, the land is now with the yankees, loan sharks partly satisfied.

Destroy there capture of important resources worldwide, USA economy collapse.

I think as long as USD remains the reserve currency and has the strongest military with petrodollar backing, they might be able to sustain it. Many countries did try to step away from the greenback but they either got invaded or sanctioned.

So they can keep issuing new debt and bonds because there are many buyers for the debt.

Need a global alternative like a BRICS currency or something, but BRICS itself is not united on this issue.

@crazywithmath @concard @FalconSlayers

was looking at this type of data from a different angle last week, trying to find out how was GDP(current prices) growth in terms of energy consumption, because India prioritised services sector and china prioritised manufacturing for growth.

Screenshot 2025-01-03 at 11.31.59 AM.webp

keep in mind, china liberalised in 1978 and India in 1991.
which means total energy consumed by china in 1990, India reached there in 2017,
oil energy consumed by china in 1990 , India reached there in 2003.

basically impact of first mover advantage.

in 2022.
India generates 63 lakhs INR of economic activity per Tera Joules
China generates 7.5 lakh CNY of economic activity per Tera Joules.

also added multiplication factor at the bottom, incase anyone wants to make more sense of it.

if i am not wrong, it seems Indian economy gives with more bang for the buck per tera joules in local currency, but lose the advantage because of USD conversion factor.

I blog on the Ukraine war and the feedback I often get when discussing it in forums is that India is siding with Russia, or financing Putin by buying Russian oil.
My latest blog post looks at oil trade data and argues that India's actions are in the best interest of all oil importers. There are more egregious instances of sanctions busting and better ways to reduce Russia's energy export revenues without harming importers.

Aree, @Indianhawk bhai, glad you are here, what do you think regarding India growth story in this modi third term?

World economy has turned upside down since corona. And global trade is facing challanges. Honestly we are in uncharted waters. We won't be having super fast growth as was predicted previously. But the good thing is that modi is sorting fundamental issues. PLI and industrial parks are slowly but surely improving manufacturing base. Consumption is again increasing slowly.

Growth will still feel slow compared to previous standards but whenever next financial crises explodes in west Indian economy will suddenly appear much bigger and much stronger .

Plenty of roadside food stalls or those on pushcarts make a fortune what to speak of restaurants leave aside fine dining ones in metropolises. Nothing unusual in it. What's unusual is most of us didn't think if these people actually file ITRs leave aside paying IT.

This was also a foregone conclusion about one of the aims of electronic payment systems which is to increase the tax net. Otherwise it's people like you and me who'd be further burdened.

On a lighter note the dry cleaner cum laundry in our vicinity who's now practically running a monopoly business given his competition folded up for various reasons got served such a notice in 2022 post which he put up a sign banning UPI or credit / debit cards. He got another notice in 2023 in spite of dealing exclusively in cash .
