but we need more energy storage solutions because just building solar power is not enough. We need energy storage to ride out the non productive time and smooth out the grid.
Funny how Delhi is the model city for public transport in India and it still has so much pollution. This is someone from Mumbai where people say metro will fix the pollution and traffic issuesUsing data from This report from IIT kanpur, I recreated the PIE charts , cause the one in the report were pretty hard to read : -
PM10 type pollution : particle diameter less than 10 Micrometer
PM 2.5 type pollution : particle diameter less than 2.5 Micrometer
NOx type Pollution : Nitrogen Oxides

Basically what is shows is most of NCR's pollution issues are internal, without infrastructure to tackle these, no party is going to fix Delhi's issue. General Climate of that region is also in the play here, it goes dry for almost 9 months and all these dust accumulates.
Solid public transport can potentially reduce need for cars and reduce vehicular pollution part but rest need alot of policy planning.
He is not completely wrong here. That MGNREGA has reduced the availability of rural labourers (and impacted smaller bizmen, contractors and MSMEs negatively) has always been the go-to argument for a number of critics and sceptics. What has happened to these people? Who is feeding them these weird ideas?

The research concluded, however, that the UBI program did not work as intended. It resulted in lower productivity and people working less. Labor market participation decreased and even unemployment was extended. In some cases incomes declined by as much as $1,500.
L&T chief is stating a fact, it's one of the arguments against UBI.

that infra handle has a habit of blackpilling.
He is stating a "fact" that impacts the profitability of his business. The government is not responsible for creating a scenario that puts the economically weaker sections at the mercy of the big businesses to the extent that those big businesses can fix the "labor rate".
Economic backwardness also puts these unfortunate people at the risk of social exploitation and humiliation. Remember how the Bihari laborers were being mistreated in the other states only for being the "economic migrants"? They were being picked upon just for being weak. It is not their loss at least.
By the way, do you know why do these businesses love cheap migrant laborers? One of the major reasons: they are less likely to form the "labor unions" and forcefully negotiate better work conditions.
If people understood these, govt could simply say that we're paying workers more thus cost is higher and work has limitations but people need excellent work and no cost at same time. Lena hai par dena nahi.these sociology and political theories are fine, there are economic consequences as well.
ofcourse he making these points because his is a low margin high volume infra business. he is in the business of bidding for L1 contracts, if he is not getting the labour in the price he wants, he will just increase the L1 bid factoring the new wagecost.
over a period of time, if today one lakh crore of govt spending is producing 6000 km of high way, some years down the line gormint will get only 4000-5000 km for the same price.
if it's a private contract he is executing, his customer will pass on the cost on to us the consumers.
and our journos and economists will get to write a lot on content and soundbites on inflation![]()
imo bihari migrants being harassed is a societal issue, if law enforcement there was strict any kind of offender would be punished swiftly, but these goons are often lackeys of political outfits. He is stating a "fact" that impacts the profitability of his business.
