Is there a prototype/LSP of Dhruv NUH and do we have any picture of it ?

Interesting insights on the kind of ISE - India Specific Enhancements we can expect on the Rafale M much like the Rafale C in the IAF.

Deal on Rafale M to be signed this coming Monday. Deliveries expected to begin in 3.5 yrs & end in 6 years from now.
"To" finalize...

If materialized, what does that number tell us? (sorry if someone covered this).
Confidence in TEDBF or AMCA-N? And in their delivery? (Or more Rafale-M expected?)
Is US out of the game? if IN does NOT want to operate more than 3 different platforms in future?
Will Vicky stick to Mig-29K?
How about land-based squadrons? No plan for deep pocket? training?

It's already finalised. What the paper means is the agreement is yet to be inked.

Looks like they're reconsidering the design of the TEDBF. They're looking out for a 5th Gen FA. Wrong decision IMO.

First of all the ADA needs to prove its chops with AMCA . Secondly bulk of the heavy lifting will still be done by < 5th Gen FAs for the foreseeable future.

Secondly the original plan of Rafale M -> TEDBF -> 5th Gen FA should've been the way forward.

Right now it seems as if the IN is trying some sleight of hand here by converting TEDBF to a 5th Gen program which means they could potentially be looking at the Rafale M to play the role of the 4.5 th Gen FA which was originally envisaged for the TEDBF , which in turn means more Rafale M to be inducted likely next decade , more so if IAF manages to sign the contract for 114 nos of which the bulk would be mfgd here with Dassault expected to set up a line here.

No clue how things will pan out . I'm just speculating aloud.

Is US out of the game?

The F-18s lost out to the Rafale M long ago.

if IN does NOT want to operate more than 3 different platforms in future?
Will Vicky stick to Mig-29K?

By next decade both the MiG-29K & the INS Vikramaditya will be out. Will they be replaced exclusively by the Rafale M or a combination of Rafale M & 4.5 Gen TEDBF remains to be seen ?!

How about land-based squadrons?

Originally it was thought that 100 nos TEDBF would be produced with some being shore based. Now we don't know.

No plan for deep pocket?

What's that ?

training?

IN was due to order 0.5-1 squadron of N-LCA. No idea what happened to it or if it's still on ?

22 are single seater meant for INS Vikrant and are carrier capable
4 are double seater meant for training and are not carrier capable.

TEDBF/AMCA-N is still on paper.

I doubt they can fit the Rafale on INS Vikramaditya so that will use Mig29ks onlee
