If that is NGMV then my name is Field Marshall Aladeen. The first photo is straight P16 Godavari class.

Firepower vs size debate/nonsense comes up repeatedly with regards to the IN with plenty reiterating this line that IN ships should be smaller with more firepower every few months/yearssome opinions about naval ships:-
1:- our P17 B seven upcoming nilgiri class frigate (6600 ton displacement) cost is little lower than our vikramaditya class destroyers (7600 ton)....these frigate cost near 1 billion dollars. although they hv lesser range, less helicopter, less torpedo tubes nd lesser antiship missile (16 vs 8). i m saying after these orders of 7 nilgiri (p17 B). we should focus on building 4500 ton displacement frigate, not 6600 ton displacement nilgiri type frigate. that will cost less nd we make them in more quantity. so we can perform operation in different areas.
2:- project 18 will be near 13000+ ton displacement class. ideally they should be in crushers class, not destroyer class.
3:- for upcoming destroyers we should stuck with 7000-8000 ton displacement of vikramaditya destroyers. it should hv additional 16-32 VLS for sure.
3:- for upcoming Corvette we should adopt israeli SAAR 6 corvette configuration. which is 2000 ton displacement, but it hv same capabilities, radars, firepower or little more than our 6600 ton nilgiri frigate. although it compromise with range nd brahmos like antiship missile, but its price is lesser than nilgiri class. we dont need destroyer like weapons in corvette case, coz its for coastal areas protection. not for deep sea missions like destroyer nd frigate.

Visakhapatnam class ships in current time would cost "more" than 1.5 times their original cost due to inflation and tech advancement.dude my point is when our nilgiri frigate cost is little lesser than our vishakapatnam class destroyer (1 billion dollar approx cost each)...isnt it better we pay little more nd make vishakapatnam class destroyer. which will give more range, more anti ship missiles, more helicopter, more torpedo tubes etc??
Corvette is for coastal nd EEZ security...not for deep sea missions. that role done by crushers, destroyers nd frigate. my main point is price not size. our destroyers nd frigate price is near 1 billion dollar. so it better to build more capable 7600 ton destroyer than a 6600 ton frigate.
In case of more high tech equipments the bang for buck value that ppp provides diminishes very much.u mean 1.5 billion dollar per vishakapatnam destroyer, if we buy it now??? i think it will cost near 1.25 billion dollar now. our equipment cost in many weapons case is reaching as closely as western weapons.
first thing Corvette not for deep sea missions...that role played by crushers, destroyer nd frigate. but if u want to increase range nd endurance. u can also do that with 2000 ton isreali SAAR 6 type desi Corvette. by making it little bigger, like our 3300 ton karmota class corvette (90 meter long SAAR 6 vs 109 meter long karmota). coz if u see both Corvette difference in capabilities, there is no comparison. although SAAR 6 little expensive than karmota, but unlike karmota it hv own antiship mission capabilities. our all corvette hv no antiship capabilities, but only antisubmarine capabilities.Firepower vs size debate/nonsense comes up repeatedly with regards to the IN with plenty reiterating this line that IN ships should be smaller with more firepower every few months/years
It’s been repeatedly rebuffed- the IN priorities are range and endurance hence their size comparing the Israelis who barely ever leave their EEZ to the IN is beyond absurd but typical for those that play this game of top trumps

Indonesia mulls options after Russia seeks access to air force base
Interesting situation for India????
It could have been something agreed before Indonesia was accepted in BRICS?? India being![]()

Australia puts Indonesia on notice about prospect of Russian air base
The U.S. Marine Corps is based in Darwin, Australia, for six months of the year, around 700 miles from the Jakarta air base.www.nbcnews.com
Jhumla news, Indonesia has denied it after literally shaking Australians asked them if this is true.
Besides, Indogesia would get regime changed if they actually did this, Russia is not the hill worth dying on today, however if it was Chongs, Indogs would bite i'm sure.

In the QUAD ; this would present a dilemma??
Many places reporting this ???
