Any information regarding Navy Minesweeper Program. We are without for nearly an decade now.

Per this Times Now article 6 minesweepers are to be built domestically

No other patrakar has covered this news so it could be made up.

Alternatively Op Sindoor might have blasted the MCMV to the top of Admiral's priority list, since i'm sure there was the fear in the back of their mind of a Piglet submarine slipping by and mining Chennai/Mumbai/Vizag etc harbors, so it could be the TN patrakar has got the scoop before anyone else.

btw any of y'all nibbiars know about the procedure to integrate our deshi weapons with MF-STAR radar?

Have the Jews given us the "source codes" so navy can do this integration themselves via the WESEE department

Or is the ((( French model ))) followed where an eye watering sum is paid to them to integrate our weapons into radar?

I think it's the former since OSINT nibbas say AK630 and 76mm SRGM both controlled by MFSTAR since you can't see their original FCRs in the modern ships.

I am asking this because assuming 8 NGC are built, it will take the total to 22 MFSTARs in operation in navy, 7 from P15A&B destroyers, another 7 from Nilgiri and the 8 of NGC.

The Radar has CEC wagera, that's the reason navy chose it, it would be very good if we can integrate our own stuff easily without jewish OEM being involved, would save money, time and most importantly cut off any dependencies.

Why do we still need MFSTAR when we have desi radars, NGC is a good platform to test the radars before proceeding to NGDs

Anyway, isn't the NGC supposed to carry Point Defence Missiles as per the RFI, if yes then it should have VLSRSAM's Radar.

For SSMs, is it Brahmos or NASM-MR?

If I remember correctly, the SSM load out is 8 missiles and SAM load out is 32 as per the RFI

It is just a smaller P-17A version. 32 MRSAM and 08 SSM.

There is a small one afaik meant for NGMV which is under construction.
The big one 8 meter radius wala, it is still in trials afaik, it is said that one is mainly for BMD

GRSE 30MM NSG sea trial done, aboard INS Arnala
Gun has 60% indigenous content, they aim to increase it to 90% in the future
The gun is deshi version of Elbit 30mm NSG, it has all modern features like EOFCS, with optional manual control, unlike the earlier BMP2-turret-on-ship jugaad that was earlier used

Can we upgrade it to match OTO Melara or replace the AK630M?

This 30mm gun is meant to be a replacement for the BMP2-Turret-on-a-ship jugaad called CRN-91, pic related

Oto melara 76mm does it's job well and has been upgraded to use STRALES/DART ammo also, this cannon is made in India by BHEL in Haridwar

AK630 will likely be replaced by a 40mm CIWS with airburst ammo, that's the new trend in gun based CIWS, high rpm gatling gun like AK630 and Phalanx is passe now.

So with NGC orders we have total 28 (or 29?) corvettes for the Navy on order at various stages of construction and trials.

a warship that is 3500 tons(standard) and probably close to 4000 tons(full load) is a Light Frigate. Not Corvette. 1000 tons ASW SWC are Corvettes, direcly replacing Abhay Class and Veer Class. NGMV are corvettes to replace Khukri Class and maybe the Batch 2 will replace Kora Class.

Kamorta(3300 tons) was a direct replacement to Godavari Class(3600 tons), both in timeline and tonnage.
NGC will be a direct replacement to Brahmaputra Class by the mid 2030s.

In future 4000 tons or less will become a corvette weight wise.
Similarly how 5000+ were destroyers in past, now they are frigate.

Wtf it took 10 years for ngc to get a tender and winner, keel laying, launching would take time
I hope the electronics and sensors are up to date, or else we are cooked

Navy giving competition to army and airforce in mood swings
