Timing could not have been worse and suicidal with this notification by BJP.

Timing and communication have been two biggest problems with BJP since 2014. They don't know what to bring when and how to inform public.

Caste Census in general census without NRC is going to create more resentment in public. Majority of public demanded NRC and we got caste census instead.​

Of all the thing that won't ever happen, this and private sector reservations won't happen the most.

Private sector reservation may not happen but 50% ceiling will be breached. If not modi, raga and opposition will do it. It is inevitable now. Subcategorization and 50% ceiling breach are done deal. It is beyond party politics now.

Only private sector reservations will be hard to swallow by the people. There will be some who will ask for it. But there will be no mass support for it. Subcategorization may actually kill voices for private sector reservations. Just because of its impractical nature.

De-escalation is not on the cards. Some revenge will be taken but its intensity may be muted. We don't know. But colonist punjabi army will be punished.

I believe saiarav on twitter has a reasonable take on its timing. He posits that the subsequent strike of pig army will drown out this decisions negative propaganda against him.

more or less, all govts services have gone to dogs already with meritorious people looking outside for better opportunities. Bhimtas with 0 IQ are busy filling their coffers and ensuring that their next 7 gens don,t have to work.

As per Telangana and Bihar surveys GC is around 15%.

They simply don't need 15% votes of GC. Assam has shown that even without 30% consolidated votes of any community one can win elections.

With the way things are going, BJP will not win in 2029. With each passing day and considering his age Modi will become weaker and RaGa stronger. He has already vowed to bring reservation in private sector and breach 50%. Breaching 50% is not as serious as private sector reservation which will be a death kneel for morale, merit, livelihoods along with hit on investments and start ups.

In other words, future looks gloomy and the current steps don't inspire much confidence in the only supposedly sane party out there.

Different theories are running:
This census was going to take place one day and it would have created an uproar in public. So Govt decided to bring it now that people will cry foul for some time on twitter and then support it due to ongoing nationalistic mood and wave in the country.​

I vividly remember members in the old forum boasting about caste census not being conducted for the next 2 decades atleast. The assumption was that BJP might eventually lose power and then it could be brought in.

just a cautionary reminder, that in amreeka and west, it already is happening in name of DEI ESG SDG whatever practices, as long as financers AND government facilitators of things are asking for it, any company shall do it,
in our case financers can be anyone but government is a big facilitator (comprised of sarkar + babus and what not) so they can very well armtwist the private sector into toeing their line whatever come

and didn't you get to see one big example already, in muh covid meme post 2020 some time? a helluwa companies were thrusting covid vaccine mandates down their employee's throats or loosing jobs and other things, even the government was going to make it mandatory even if indirectly, but then the honourable SC rejected this and made it optional

so yeah, the bigshots can and will armtwist people for things
