Indian Politics and Democracy

i know one, @Binayak95 babu, but he's more into navy and western things than probably his own state culture and history things
History, yes - limited knowledge and that too entirely about Odia mariners and there exploration/trade ties with greater Asia and some parts of North Africa since before the Sultans of delhi were a sperm in the rapist balls of their grandfathers.

But recently, Odias did thrash 20000 bangladeshi workers and chased them out the state. we know how to handle Ms.

Lol....
They are run by corporates....without corporates they are nothing.....even CPI(M) is run by corporates now.
If that was the case....they could have done it in UPA era....they actively discussed with stakeholders and corporates for 10 years back then...but failed miserably...
now cong learnt it's lesson and came with diversity commision which is a voluntary thing

Our beloved country runs not on critical analysis or logical thinking but on public sentiment.
If sufficient public pressure is generated, the government often caves in. This country is replete with examples of how the government has made disastrous decisions, ultimately damaging the nation, merely to appease a section of the public.

I've seen that happening in front of my eyes when a 12 billion $ steel plant investment was kicked out merely to satisfy a handful of villages.

Interesting thing you should know - in Malay language and Tagalog, the word for a foreigner is 'kaling/kalinga'.

The real reason the Congress & the rest of the opposition are behaving in this manner is coz the terrorists in Pahalgam deliberately left survivors to tell the tale & that tale gave the opposition & the likes of the Congress & Owaisi a shiver down the spine .

Had the terrorists killed everyone , the outrage would've been great though not as great as it is now & the Congress wouldn't have extended unconditional support criticising the government for lax security among other issues insisting on restoration of Article 370 & so on but the entire kalma controversy along with IDs being sought & people being asked to strip to prove their religion before being shot has deprived the opposition of any talking points.

The incident provokes visceral memories. One false move & the BJP can run away with the narrative that the opposition is intrinsically anti Hindu. This is also the reason Owaisi is trying to be more Hindu than the BJP.

Hence the only way they can pressurise the government is by reminding them incessantly that justice is overdue.

How on earth did Odisha manage to only have a 2.2% Muslim population (per 2011 Census)? A miracle, considering how close it is to West Bengal and Bangladesh.

Wonder if we even have any Odia members on this board.

I'm from Odisha.

The reason why Odisha has low muslim population is because of a combination of various factors like hostile terrain and fierce resistance to outside culture and influence.

Odisha is the land of Lord Jagannath, and any attempt to subvert Odia culture, language, or identity will face opposition.

In the past, efforts were made to dilute the Odia language and culture. As a result, prominent Odia figures like Madhusudan Das led a movement for the creation of a separate Odisha province, which was established on April 1, 1936, now celebrated as Utkal Dibas.

The stars seem to have aligned both internally and externally, but supreme leader appears unsure. Otherwise, can't comprehend the delay in at least a short sharp response like Balakot. The lack of significant tech edge is probably telling at this point. Pak might last 4-7 days, but has the potential to cause embarrassment to the Indian military which vishwaguru does not want to be scapegoated for. So he prefers a Manmohan 2.0 over Chacha 2.0. Honestly cant tell which one's worse!

They spell it as keling and it is used as a slur for Indians.
Originally it was just derived from Kalinga and used as a normal word for "Indian" later they started using it in a racial way against the Tamils.

Either this or it is a saazish by the piglets and the sekoolar forces here to force the govt's hands into a quick response into the trap of Bakistanis.

In case we would take any damage in terms of planes shot down, soldiers killed, pilots captured they'd blame it on Govt for giving a "hasty" response

I find it very curious that congress and owaisi are being patriotism pro plus max and it can't be because they are scared of being called anti-Hindu.

For e.g I remember distinctly in Feb 2020 to March 2020 Raul was screaming about ebul Mudi not doing a lockdown like other countries have, months after the lockdown was done, the same Italian magic mix was then screaming about "hastily implemented lockdown" by ebul mudi.

Ideally the response should be overwhelming and should come when the Piglets are complacent and not in a state of readiness, but once public outrage subsides there is no motivation for the Govt to do such a thing, Punishing Pakistan is not a matter of Govt policy.
