In these pics it looks decent to me, any experts who can comment on the ground clearance?

You don't need these many lights and that too at such low level. Especially in a military sense where there is an emphasis on making the vehicle capable of being driven in "blackout" condition.

The red line should be the height of the bashplate which will more or less decide the ground clearance; which in this case is decent for the role. The green part or more or less everything below the tow point and winch don't have any actual function. The yellow parts looks like some kind of rubber skirt.

I'd guess this whole light thing hanging in front of the tyres are just a "facade" to make it cool or futuristic. I don't think they'll keep this part on while submitting for any trials.

My "decent" reference was only towards ground clearance, not about the lights.

Oh yeah...so tell me by seeing which exact part or feature of this vehicle most of these people are inferring that it has low ground clearance? I'd be glad to know

Dude, I don't know what you are trying to get into with me. I don't know about these things, i don't know what other people are using to infer the ground clearance. That is why I asked the forum what is infact going on with it.

There must have been some reason because of which I emphasized so much on those lights. Don't you think?

Already scribbled but no issues, here you go
This is how a vehicle looks like if there's no light hanging in front of the tyres

Add those weird lights and it starts to look like this

This is what is irking people so much about it. The issue is not the lights, but rather the weird placement of them

If it's still too complicated, then I'm sorry

Some people were bashing the ground clearance on this vehicle in an earlier tweet (the earlier tweet didn't really show much other than a very close up shot from the front). In these pics it looks decent to me, any experts who can comment on the ground clearance?

Ground Clearance will be fine. But the light placement, basically current gen cars where main lights were placed in bumper and DRL at top. Don't know why Tata decided to pursue this. Simple light setup at top is enough. Anyways the vehicle will have Headlight throw adjustment and driver can adjust based on load inside the vehicle. Available in all commercial vehicles.

This is an stupid design inspiration from Passenger Vehicles division.
