Indian Railways

they make locopilots work even on the rest day, extending their daily working hours which is not allowed
No one is blaming locopilots here. They are one of, if not THE most hardworking civil servants in this country.

Not doubting their hard work but no one is without fault in India. A lot of these Loco pilots are constantly talking to their loved on their phones or watching videos while running the train.

A lot of accidents do happen due to human error due to distractions due to above mentioned factors.

I don't know about Chinese, but the ones used in for securing the area or for public safety are rock solid, almost nothing happens to them they are quite expensive so don't know in this case it would apply.
It wont apply here as most cameras are Hikvison types. Its not about damage but they get stolen or broken. Here we are talking about Indian public who even break concrete barriers on highway to get a shortcut access.

Lol wut? What does casteism have anything to do with Vande Bharat or Vande Sadharan?

If you think abstractly, it will make sense. But I'll make it make sense to you:

AC is what's expected in the US no matter what background you come from. If you're taking a train, whether it's a subway, Amtrak (which is ~ Vande Bharat), local train, whatever, the basic expectation is it will be AC. In India, the perception here is that "low caste" people are treated differently than "high caste" people. It doesn't matter that there's poor "low caste" and poor "high caste", and rich "high caste" and rich "low caste." The perception here is that everybody poor is low caste. The basic expectation we have is that everybody will get AC. For India to make AC a class thing simply perpetuates this idea that your birth determines your social status

Cool lagne ke liye India and apne culture ko gali dena padta hai.

90% Indian has never seen or faced any castism but still complaint about it.

But in the West, Brown Sipoy face racism every day, even school kids trolls in the parks, trams, trains, bus, clubs everywhere but brown Sipoy never forget to appraise their masters.

I'm not praising anybody and if you know me, you will know I bow to nobody except Mahadeva and Sri Hari. But the typical Indian automatically believes that anybody, literally anybody, making any genuine criticism of India is "appraising their master." This is a serious problem amongst Indians. It's actually quite funny. When we criticize, we are "appraising [our] masters" yet when you beg for technology or complain that the white man is responsible for 100% of the issues despite our glorious past, you're somehow immune from a similar criticism. Introspect

I'll make it make even more sense to you:

You are an effin' nutjob. Go back to bashing 'da joos'.

@mods I am sorry but this needed to be said.

Irrelevant and entirely unnecessary. "da jews" have no connection here and this is what is considered a "straw man." But it highlights a deeper rot within the Indian intellect.

Would be great improvement if they can get this done.

Old project getting revived. They once floated a tender for 238 air conditioned EMU BG sets;

But eventually, the tender got scrapped.

Since then they have been toying with the idea of running modified Vande Metros as EMUs.

You've made some pretty strange conclusions here.

Non-AC trains have always been more about affordability for the masses. It's a basic price differentiation strategy and has always been a business decision with very little do with caste or class.

We're still a $3k GDP per capita economy, In the foreseeable future and in the next few decades, all trains will eventually become AC as India gets richer and the prices of manufacturing AC coaches comes down.

They tried replacing non AC coaches with AC coaches on LHBfied trains (because it made business sense; IR makes good money out of AC coaches). The result was for us all to see. They have started adding non AC coaches since. And it is not possible to subsidize AC coaches (to make it 'affordable' for the poorest) given IR's finances. We can, however, provide affordable short distance commutes with AC coaches and that is what the Ministry is aiming to do.

Ignore bad faith arguments.

I've seen this affordability thing thrown around but haven't seen raw numbers. What is the price to operate an AC train that runs on electricity vs a non-AC train that also runs on electricity? And again, since this was missed, I am telling you about the perception of India in the West.

I'd prefer to ignore people with poor reading comprehension, poor intellect, and poor reasoning abilities than "bad faith arguments". In fact, I'd argue that somebody that qualifies with the above three is operating in worse faith than anybody else.

Edit: By the way, since you are pushing me and starting to irritate me, the hygiene standards on even the most expensive AC train in India are extremely poor. I literally saw poop floating in a toilet on a Vande Bharat. The flush was broken.

This is your perception which is you are generalising.

People say....

"AC me Badha admi baithta hai"
"Hawaijahaj me badha admi jata hai"
"5 Star hotel me bada aadmi khana khata hai"

None of us ever heard only Brahman and Thakur travel in AC, fly in Jets and eat in 5 star hotels.

5 Star hotels and Mall refuse to give entry if you are not dressed western clothes. Never heard they denied entry on caste.

There is Zero evidence of caste based discrimination but still you manage to show us caste discrimination in Railway class.

America is a rich country they can easily afford AC in trains. We are still catching up.

Why you chose AC as parameter to show caste discrimination india, why not Lamborghini, Farari cars or jets or Yacht as a criteria of discrimination??
