i don’t think there will be any more orders for it,matter fact it will be stupid if they gave more orders of the sig 716i as the IRRPL has already delivered 37k ak 203 rifles and is producing with decent pace they will standardise ak 203 now

Three years back, it was in the news that Indian Army is upgrading its Draganov DMR rifles with a kit supplied by the SSS Defence of Bangalore. The subject disappeared from discussions after that news item

Does any of the reader has any idea whether this project has been completed.

Draganov is AK-47 type long barrel 7.62X54 rifle with 400 to 800 meter range. It is considered reliable and accurate. The upgrade will make it more lethal. If I remember correctly that 6000 to 7000 rifles need to be upgraded. That is a time consuming job. In 3/4 years, I would assume this task is completed.

SSSD and tactix and some fab mods all are in service with Army now

It’s mixed actually 110 are of tactix there are more rifles modded by FAB&SSSD on unit level I believe
