  • He served from 2005 - 2020 in Indian navy and in
  • He said he was in about 14-15 specialist courses while he served in MARCOS
  • He also did the NSG course at Maneswar
  • He served for a 300 days deputation (almost a year) in some unit (can't be NSG cause NSG deputation is long and only Army goes in it) So whatever he did was something interesting

NSG must be running some sort of specialized CQB/Sniper courses I believe. Coming to that deputation thing... it could be anything. Remember we were talking about that unit under Naval Intelligence that somewhat works like DG's black squadron ? Or maybe it was that notorius Special Squadron Zero mentally raised by Marcenko uncle

The Man, the myth, the legend

The same guy who rescued a guy from drowning and said "mei navy ka marine commando hun"

aree wait I did'nt realize....he said in 1999 three of his mates including himself were attached with 10 Para in Kupwara
Is'nt this the Col Sangram Singh mission in Kupwara where the details are exactly same including the presence of a 3-man MARCO detachment

Ayoo wait this guy !
He was in the first MARCO deployment in Kashmir when they ahd only two teams in 1996, then when they had four teams in 1999, still maintain the same number I guess. He was second in command in the operation where they lost the first MARCO casualties. He saw the evolution of MARCOS from carrying Bren to Negev LMGs

Yet such a quiet professional that we came to know about him only after that video where he was hessitant to even take a credit. Man this shit is crazy

Hmm Marcos don't join NSG so was it to train in CI/CT ops or what?

NSG’s Room Clearance skills are pretty good I don’t think MARCOs train with NSG now but during the old time they probably did.
Also CI/CT probably

Why .308 rifles instead of a 5.56 carbine. The 4x ACOG implies these aren't for counter marksman duties either. Not using at least a 6x magnifier is kind of a waste of this rifle. Also are the babus planning for this beast to sound off within earshot with no suppressors ? Just how long will be the potential engagement range in India ? that the SPG thinks a 5.56 carbine with Tungsten tipped ammo can't solve the problem ?

Would the 308s have better penetrating power compared to Tungstan 556s? They are expecting to ward/interdict Fast moving Vehicles / Opfor with Body Armour

CPDs happen in open rallies - engagement range would be more extended than in normal CQB/MOUT operations.

A little bit of both.....MARCOS were raised out of the CD (Clearance Divers)
SBS set up the Diving School in India back in the late 1950s. This is written in Wikipedia but I went through the

In mid-late 1970s again India learnt how to extract oil from the ocean near Bombay High and so the oil facilities were formed. In Duncan Falconer's book "First into Action" the British SBS says that in the late 1970s, SBS was the first unit to come up with the Idea that Oil Rigs need protection from potential sabootage and terror attacks and thus trained for it.

So apke upar hai dekhlo whose influence we follow the most.

IMO - the first batch of MCF went through Buds and then to the Royal Marine Commandos. I have not ever heard of any SBS involvement (though SBS is a subset of RMC).

First of all, only 3 officers went through BUD/S training not the entire 1st batch.

Secondly check the sources I mentioned boss, you will find. The diving school in Kochi was itself set up by British SBS and this is confirmed by Chris Rayan ex SAS himself, so obsviosuly he knows UKSF history and where they were deployed better than us

Now, what about the other part of IMSF's 1st batch, they got trained by SAS or SBS. Now all this info he put on his linkedin as well. I dont know why he removed it. But I guess he was trained at in 1982, Project Sunray where boys from Est 22 were sent to train with SAS.
