Indian Special Forces

New kit as in AT plate carriers? Also is this a one off pic? or are there more pictures with better visibility of their gear?
Hig cuts, PCs inear headphones and some units with battle belts that's their new standard issue setup they have been trying to achieve idk if their are more pics of this event but last Army day celebration had plenty of pics with the standard kit they are trying to achieve.

Its all basic sf gear but considering para sf its start we are also seeing more and more thermals with SF they need to add standard cammo , nvgs and with battlefield management system and communication system it would be best gear i suppose ( off course i have no hope for on ear protection and nvgs but )

Around 40 soldiers try to pass Irish ARW selection every year, but less than a dozen pass the gruelling process that sees them allowed into the unit - and wear the coveted green beret that marks them out as a Fianoglach, or Ranger.
I think only Marcos do this type of selection
A dozen would be an extraordinary year, it's usually 6-8...one year it was infamously 0.
The whole selection process was overhauled starting about a decade ago, UK SBS and Aussie SASR sent over cadre to help reorg the whole process, a performance cell was established, warrior athlete was developed etc.

In-ear headsets are still not standarfised atm. Northern command ordered 300ish pieces. And maybe 11 has a few invisio ones.

Para SF are mass producing it

They simply can’t and even if they try it’s gonna take a decade atleast they 20k+ para troops that’s not a SF they are special Infantry army does not have a SF rn hope we get something like the Deltas after Integrated theatre command
Let me add to this!

The original plan after the creation of the SF Regt was to give PARA SF a nomenclature like the Green Berets, which was PARA SF(Airborne). Then Special Groups(not be be confused with SFF) were to be created on the lines of Delta Force to handle Army HQ related Ops at national level. These SGs would take men from PARA SF(A) and other arms.
Sadly this plan went down, but glad that we created NSG, SG and 2SG for specific roles.:D
