C clamping tavor is not good option in my opinion c clamping works great on ar rifle and even on AK but only with optics

If you feel like c clamping, grip clamp c or c grip clamping any gun, go for it, you'll eventually find a gripping technique that's more suitable for you (it includes actually gripping a foregrip instead of using it as a stopgrip ! FUCK YOU AMERICUNT GUNTUBERS) And yeah AK FSP view gets blocked by the thumb... so its not much effective on a bare bones ak unless youre running it on your hip !
For older gen tar 21 its comfartably okay but for new FT tar 21 it gets a bit tiring cause of the thick ass front end.

I used to be very much against expansion of army SF but looking at how americans get the extra required SOF manpower from well equipped and trained NATO/non-NATO allies who will aid their SOF ops lead by american army SF in most cases... I believe the move was a decent one, given our local and global ambitions. But butchering the airborne inf capability was not very nice of army leadership.

I heard this before and people generally who have no academic argument to make fall for this kind of victimhood all the time.

I have lost two family members in Punjab and two family members in Kashmir. I know how we lost those loved ones; because of so many social, religious, political, and military complexities that went against us.

I can add more points to prove that no one here is a victim, including me because this is the only way to fight the enemy at large. And obviously, we both agree on it. That is why this forum is resurrected.

If your ego is hurt by Admins simply asking "everyone" to keep the decorum then this is your problem, not everyone's. So keep your problem to yourself and do not vitiate the thread.

I can name every member and moderator whom I have read religiously on daily basis. Almost everyone has used their time to criticize the shortcomings of our forces. Yet you have gal to use the word Andbhagat.

Long story short, this forum is the most liberal and safe portal for Indians to publish their views. No one is superior to anyone. I would argue every member not to give a damn of anyone who they think needs to be called out. But at the same time, people who are managing the flow must be trusted and allowed to do their duty of care.

Two months ago our revenue from advertisements was clipped by google because they wanted us to delete posts made by multiple members. We showed them the middle finger and went ahead with private personal funding and donations.

This shows our resolve to allow every opinion to be published here without any pressure. But that does not mean you (not you but all) will be allowed to start doing target practice on everyone in the forces and admins.

Where does all this righteousness go when Arad Operator aka Your Admin target Major Avinash and says things like how much kills does Major Avinash have to talk about SF?

Why dont you delete that post and take action?

And if we go by that Logic then by what standards is he a Admin?

My point was that i pay taxes and stay in India hence a person sitting abroad has no rights to tell me what to do in India.

I pay taxes and i have my rights.

Lastly, my family in Army is 10 times what people like Hellfire or Arad operators are.

My dad retired a Brigader and was the first officers who set up RR and made the how to list and asked to set up Corps Battle School.

My grand father faught in Burma.

My brother got killed in a cross border raid on LOC.

Even now i have relatives in Army who were coursemates of Brig Sherawat and who sre looking at being a Chief.

I have a few SF officers as friends as well.

Its not me vs them its We vs We.

Even today if i walk to a military cant my pass would come minutes before your admins but my old man didnt raise me such.

@Arad Operator kills should not be a yard stick for asessing one's sof/sf career. He was tasked with really good missions and not just that, one of his team guy told me that his team was on an op that could've changed the face of insurgency in NE but the jernals backed off at the very last moment. He is a CFF + CD guy, if govt feels the neccessity of an Army SMU, he'll be on the board of Subject Matter Experts for sure given his career and understanding.

TLDR ; You can disagree without mocking someone's career. I hope peace prevails

I'm not sure someone whose assasinated is referred to as KIA but leaving that behind Lt Gen PC Katoch in his book stated the idea was to convert 1 Para into a CT unit...Col AK Anand also stated NSG & MARCOS when were established it was 1 Para who trained them in 1...
However...Lt Gen PC Katoch also states that parallelly as 1 was doing it's comvertion to a counter terrorism unit, the SG was also created for the same thing. Infact, Let Gen PC Katoch stated that
"In the Brig Bahri Committee.......it was decided that a Special Group be created for the conduct of a national level and Army Headquarters related strategic military special operations."

What part of a 'special operations capable' or 'super infantry' does strategic military special operations ?

Also if 9 Para cdo laid the blueprints for SPG, then please tell me the story and sources...I'd love to know them.

So is SG the best unit of India ?
- No...the way we see them equipped in Kashmir and the limited amount of operations tells it all, see even their mandate is not defined

Was it mandated as a Special Infantry or Special Operations Capable unit and not a Special Force?
- Clearly no! It says it all....it was mandated as a Special Forces unit which would take guys from Army SF, as the Brig Bahri Committee stated that "there was to be a proper interface between the Para SF and the Special Group. The Para SF would also ensure a regular feed to the Special Group." The Army struggled with unconventional operations due to rigid traditions, so SG was created to handle special operations.

What's lacking in SG ?
- The fact that their leadership suffers from the same thing every government organization in India suffers from...including the Army. Yes their leadership is as incompetent

Is it right to call SG as a Special Operations Capable Unit ?
- No! Firstly it was mandated to be something else, secondly, it was under Cabinet Sec not Army HQ as you say, R&AW itself is under Cabinet Sec.
- Now, try selling me the idea that a "Special Operations Capable Unit" "As Good as Ghataks" was tasked to rescue political prisoners from Bangladesh.

Unrelated :> I've talked with some men from the sarsawa based SG unit. What I came to know was that our Natsec appratus names any special missions unit equivalent as SG. There are more than one SG. In future (or present or even past) if the army raises an SMU, it'll most likely be SG lol.
And that newzealand SASR pic is literally there in PRTC as a flex print
