Hey guys I want you opinion on comtacs we know para went for in ear comtacs as it sound is more detailed and it is light and compact and can be used for longer duration than traditional or over ear comtacs so i think in ear makes sense right

And I think using in ear comtacs on full cut helmet won't be problem as it is with traditional comtacs so you opinion on in ear version for sf and ghatakar in future ? (Atleast by 2050)

Okay, a lot to unpack here.

You're right. Para SF going for in-ear COMTACs makes sense based on their nature of ops. Over-ear COMTACs can provide some additional protection from shrapnel, which is being sacrificed here.

Based on where Ghatak and the regular infantry are, they still lack uniform helmets, plate carriers, or even sights on their primaries. And I do not see that improving much anytime soon, maybe by 2035. By then, conventional warfare might have moved on from on-ground human conflict, altogether. By 2050, it definitely will have. So I do not see that transition period ever coming, where we'll see widespread use of COMTACs in any infantry units, even Ghataks.

Maybe ig. But it can only happen on a unit level like it has happened for Para SF. I doubt the Army brass will have the tactical dexterity to make this standard equipment.

If army brass had any technical dexterity they would have made them in India till they dirt cheap but apparently army brass lacks it

In war loosing a Maj General is a big deal and has been pretty big target in most wars.
