Yeah, a thermal clip on to the nod would be awesome. Along with thermal sights on the rifle. Lets see if we can see this with any Indian SFs.

Marcos do have thermal clip on in some numbers
But NV thermal overlay would be better but our sf are going for vanila pvs 31 anyway

Para sf does have pvs14 bridge it together with spartan s (also in use with para in big numbers )that would be best set up
Considering jnk is mountain terrain with thick forest

And who do we send ? , fucking ITBP . Not even SRG .

They have proved their mettle in AFG. I wouldn't count them out.

ITBP is still a significantly better choice since most of our embassies and consulates actually hire local private contractors and I highly doubt these are Tier-I/II teams who might as well run away during crisis and we'd end up with another Benghazi

I'd rather have ITBP or even CRPF carve out a unit for such roles since the later is already creating a unit for VIP/VVIP protection to replace NSG

LOL if only I could explain the security situation at the embassies/consulates here in Germany. Apart from the one in Bonn (up until its closure) thanks to a certain Wing, the others are a joke! So yeah ITBP/CRPF would do a far better job.

I am not sure which type of thermal clipon you are referring to but afaik, Marcos have only rifle mounted thermal. What we were referring to is nod mounted thermal clipon. So, it is possible both Marcos and Para SF could if they want go for these which would give them NV overlay.

Bridging pvs14 with spartan is so doable without any major additional costs or red tape involved, I hope they know this can be used this way.

In field of thermals para are good direction

And NV thermal fusion would be superior
