I was going to ask your comments on this one as You were always critical of 10 Para.What about their claims of 76-0 score in kashmir

I have no idea about 76 score ..if they could be specific about what year then i could dig up something.

Before surgical strikes specially in 90s Para commando battalions were respected but they were not a big deal like now.

Surgical strikes have really built up that reputation 10 fold.

Theres a incident where Para CDo couldnt complete a task and a senior officer came and debriefed them and said…whats the purpose of beard and long hair..my men could do the same in clean shave with their face exposed.

Again i will say i am not trying to be rude i just stated the exact reason they had to go to Jodhpur mid war.

You always speaks the bitter truth just like Khanna sir .Still one doubt why would a team would be rotated out of a warzone for a minor or even bigger mistake if they hadn’t got much casualties in the ops? Sending them to Rajasthan is not logical just like you pointed.I am not familiar with military deployments thats why asked.

I dont know exactly what was discussed in the war room but what i know is that they made a joke for themselves and Higher ups were not happy.

They were specially pulled up for this sector and when they fell flat on their face they might have been told to bug off…i know it sounds rude but it has happened many times..Gen bakshis famous dialogue on youtube is also there regarding this.

In war if units dont perform they are said on the face to get lost bcoz they are thought of not being useful and eating resources..thatswhy i gave you the example of what Para Commando battalions were considered as in the 90s pre surgical strikes.

Avg day in the life of a general assuming SF has Supernatural Powers
They did capture a peak yet they were told to go back
And we all know the brains of the leadership in Kargil

In my opinion they should have not been invited to Kargil and i dont know which peak 10 occupied but 9 really did a fantastic job and lost very few men.

These kind of ops are not for Para SF…They should be raiding enemy supply lines and batteries.

But our great poetic PM said….
