Last I heard was, the Daily Telgraph and the BBC I guess reported, that SAS were training Paras and I guess they found a hint of Bin laden and probably asked for a deplyment to Kashmir. Our guys said that it was denied to them so the SAS, nor the Delta ever operated in Indian region.

The green berets still train w them though. Maybe pressured by the politicos. Otherwise they look crap together. Like no improvement over so many editions of Vajra Prahar

Why did SAS stop training w Paras? cc @rkhanna since u mentioned bad blood somewhere before.

The SAS and India had a relationship going back to the golden temple siege days.

From what I have been told

In the early 90s a bunch of foreign tourists got abducted in Kashmir. The SAS also deployed - refused Para guidance and Intel on the Lay of the land nor the sensitivities of the local population etc . para Cdos felt highly disrespected. They spent some time getting lost running up and down the mountains. Hostages got killerd / never found. Lead to bad blood all around. They became PNG with SF.

Tri service deployment in 4 different locations, all 4 have runways. This part shows Indian Navy air station INS Kohassa near coco island. Disscus about future plan of expansion, shows few glimpses of Marcos and Garuds conducting excercise (noting exciting).

Maybe i will sound ignorant but i dont think PLAN is gonna try any such adventure on Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

So this brigade is for pirates who abuse our owned islands by illegal fishing etc.

For that kind of threat their kit is fine.

For China the threat is south china sea and taiwan.

Maybe 25-50 years from now they might do that.

INSAS can easily takeout these chinese drones at an altitude of 4000 ft with Iron sights.

No need to panic.
