Second that! Most martial arts training centers in the US offer 1-3 or a week's worth of free classes to try out before you enroll and I did try Krav Maga because of all the rage...only to realize there's no way this crap would work in real life

Most folks here swear by BJJ being the most effective in a real life situation but it also takes the longest to master while Muay Thai is good for offense

I remember hearing from an ex Isreali SF himself that "what if you get stabbed on the front while doing this" and he said "I wear my plates and magazines up front so no worries, also if you're a soilder you'd not be afraid dying for your cause" he mentioned that Krav Maga was made for the millitary in mind. So imo to think that it works all the time - well you are mistaken. Krav was designed to teach good aggresive fighting in the quickest time to soilders in basic training. Not to kill people in 3 seconds, bla bla bla bullshit

BJJ or any form of grappling form works better, remember we are discussing this while being in an age where edged weapons are outdated largly.
Grappling was demonstrated in Ancient Greek, Indian and even Chinese texts. Krishna beat Kans's ass through mal yuddha, if you look at the historic scriptures, that looks closer to BJJ to me. HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts), Knights in Armour stuff.

In my opinion, pick up one martial art that focuses on striking only and pick one martial art that focuses on grappling only. Like Boxing and Wrestling, Muay Thai and BJJ, even Indian SF earlier used to relly on this combo - you'd hear in Col Awdesh's articles 9 Para guys did boxing + wrestling. Later we see Judo & Karate.
Those who turned it into crap were Rao couple, Krav Maga and even Kali. Though I agree that PKT is legit.

Their is no number it's all just trail units except Garuds let them decide first what they want they have tried MKU,Tonbo,BEL and Brazilian ones no decision yet so numbers are small enough to not call it procurement except a few units which we don't get to see so let's just wait more now

No point in standardizing this abomination. They already look outta place and will likely slip even with regular movements only resulting in putting these operators at risk

Just get em some integrated pads already

no one uses these kneepads and elbow pads in combat unless they are in their army issued combat uniform as the cloth is way too thin to reduce impact. Adding to what you said, slipping is the last thing they should worry about since these things impede your movement in tough terrain.

I hope this unit moves onto a better plate-carrier + battlebelt type of configuration as it will make them more mobile. These LBVs were good for their time when the unit standardized it but the times have changed

Black BDU with OP plate carrier, ACH and mikasa suede tan boots should be the standard for RR. Personal weapon depends on the operator but mostly prefer AK at present even now...

Damn so that means rimpac is over. We got very less photos of marcos this year in comparison to 2022 and no VBSS videos or shooting drills. Well anyways whatever we got was totally worth the wait tho...I just wish we got some photos of marcos in proper multicam loadout along with binods Like those black multicam ones :/
