Their is no number it's all just trail units except Garuds let them decide first what they want they have tried MKU,Tonbo,BEL and Brazilian ones no decision yet so numbers are small enough to not call it procurement except a few units which we don't get to see so let's just wait more now
no one uses these kneepads and elbow pads in combat unless they are in their army issued combat uniform as the cloth is way too thin to reduce impact. Adding to what you said, slipping is the last thing they should worry about since these things impede your movement in tough terrain.
I hope this unit moves onto a better plate-carrier + battlebelt type of configuration as it will make them more mobile. These LBVs were good for their time when the unit standardized it but the times have changed
