These guys have balls of super titanium. Entering forest to hunt tangos who has clear advantage in hiding possibly equipped thermals, that too in day time, with outdated optics, no magnification, no thermals, minimal protection, minimal comms. Truly bravest of the brave.

For the Jai ho gang- this is why we say high command is criminally incompetent and dont value the lives of soldiers. We love and care for this army and its personnel more than all you "YES MAN" could ever dream of.

They have thermals, but they are the only ones using thermals in numbers during this op. Comms - they have squad level + squad comdr to command level.
 
This is why veterans don’t speak out against the faults of the Indian army. Be like Major Sahani? You’ll get flamed for your service all because you didn’t serve in one theater.

And one thing, all the Jai Ho gang brigade are more “anti forces”, a lot of their narratives take away from the success of the infantry and assam rifles which are the true heavy hitters in the kashmir insurgency.

How are they using thermals? Dont see them attached to helmet or rifle, are they using hand held types only?

LRRP - Lean athletic figure (scouts, reconnaissance, jungle warfare, desert warfare)

Conventional/FIBUA - Muscular, MMA style figure (ghatak, soldier, special forces, CQB)

Because we don’t bend a knee and kiss the boots of generals we are seen as ‘crossing the line’

I would genuinely love to see 5% of this outrage channeled when we see pics of these guys ask their sorry state in real life operations. Posting (frankly embarrassing anyway) peacetime/training ex pictures for the ‘gram is one thing but we all have eyes to see what they are up against on the ground

Brave Men are dying and terrorists are slipping away because of this nonsense, it’s not Gucci in 2025 to have semi decent PCs, LAM, proper comns, and some night fighting capability (with training to back it all up), in face most of this could be procured within India. That this doesn’t happen is a CHOICE and I am at a loss to understand why, at best (don’t want to be accused of spreading conspiracy theories) this is sheer incompetence from the leadership levels.

Forget ATAK, GPNVG-14s (almost 20 year old tech now), high speed $5k SBRs etc, some battle belts with basic med packs would be a huge upgrade for these poor souls

this could get 1 battalion to at least a US Tier 2 spec within 6 months (training is a different story) and this week they’ve been in a massive rush to spend their allocated funds before the end of the FY, for a force that gets >$20bn/yr this is peanuts but as always I’m just repeating myself. I’m just continually in awe at all the people that will ignore the realities on the ground and the pathetic state these lions are sent into combat in, there really doesn’t seem to
Be a limit to how many generations have to be thrown into the meat grinder

it's been more than a decade since you're posting criticism of IA and IA SF. Things have been going on at their own pace and will continue to be so. Don't you get tired of all this bs ?
 
An honest review on Russian streelok gear
It is too complicated to fix or reconfigure or change the system but it is interesting concept
Indian Ministry of defence should work on something similar but only simple to reconfigure this same kit could work for para , ghatak , infantry and other armed units in India
