Indian Special Forces

I was wondering same thing para and Marcos often train and participate in exercise with foreign sf meanwhile garuds were in one time with israeli counterpart and thats it
and nsg are pretty much with GBs only

Well from the GBs perspective they are just doing what the State Department is asking them to do. FID during peace time is their "Charity". NSG seems to be going through training and not an Ex

I am just showing suprise that the NSG needs such charity and if they do - then are GBs the right unit?

Other way around. None of these units have anything to gain by cross-training with NSG, unless asked by their brass to do so.

So from what I understand.

There are 2 types of Mil Contacts from the Americans:

1) State Department sends out a request to the Pentagon. the Pentagon sends it down to their Commands - each command then comes up with their strategy for building relations. (finds a counter party unit of their Target Country)

Every Unit (like the GBs) have an annual target and budget - its part of their KPI and part of their deployment rotation. - FID is NOT about GBs gaining anything. that comes in point 2.

IRONICALLY the GBs Choose NSG -

- but i guess from their perspective achieve 2 things - building relations with BOTH their Police and SF Officer counter parts.

- and since we classify NSG as SOF - GBs get to tick off their box.

2) Allied Cross Training for Interoperability - These the One on One/Jt Nation Exercises

For training with GSG9/GIGN etc - I mean we are learning from the GBs - why cant the Govt Sign a MOU with the Euro CT/HRT units to train and upskill NSG ? not talking about peer to peer ex.

Saying we pay them to teach us.
