Indian Special Forces

Designated marksmen.

Indians have zero sniping culture on a standardized scale.

In JnK snipers are deployed only when the policies of the aor allows it otherwise it's mostly a LMG/GPMG Buddy pair irrespective of OG or new unit
IA did establish a sniper school and I'm guessing it should be churning out a few folks every year and along with procuring Sakos' and Barretts' albeit in limited numbers. Might as well use them to get field exposure and keep their skills updated

Several SOF units typically do have a designated sniper. Recently saw an interview of an Israeli where he said Shin Bet, Mossad and other intel units for instance can borrow a sniper from the CT unit if required for their mission

Notice how Randori Behak and Kandi are remembered by us. Both gave us 5 KIAs each (squad almost wiped out). But Randori Behak is a testament of sheer bravery and raw courage because all the 5 trts were killed before the operators fell. Meanwhile Kandi is questioned, often ridiculed because the trts got away unharmed (initially). It's not like we can't digest our own getting killed but we definitely can't see the goatfuckers surviving.

Also in Randori Behak, there were 2 separate squads but why is Ptr Sonam Tshering (the 6th man - survivor & shaurya chakra awardee) not seen in any of the pictures (which show only 5 guys)? Sonam was the one who came down last and took confirmatory headshots and even hurled a grenade to injure the 5th trt who was later killed by another unit near LOC. @Airborne22 any idea about this? Just trying to make sense of the formation.

Kandi ops was more of a Command and control faliure. Lets not measure and compare bravery or courage. 5 lost in kandi were absolute lions till their last breathe. They ingressed as a foot patrol in haste while they were on another longer op but got caught into ambush.
Randori Behak squad was heli dropped onto the expected terrorist exfil route, had the enviornmental conditions been conducive it wouldve been a regular day of work for the 4 para sf squad.

Ik the exact details and have defended unwarranted criticism around it many times. I was just talking about general sentiment

Who's going to make the movie ? Bollywood ? they'll add masala and cheapen it. Throw in cringy songs (because muh industry), super cliche scenes, a love interest out of the blue, super naive understanding of the organization and mandate and everybody shouts to go super saiyan in the final scene. Movies that actively insult the intelligence of it's viewers. I don't want bollywood to make movies, much less making a good war movie to honor our fallen brave-hearts. This pathetic industry can't grow out of it's hero/heroine focused comical narratives, and usher into a mature story focused narrative. Sam Bahadur was a recent happy accident from this industry. While Uri was serviceable, and Hrithik's Fighter was outright insufferable. Less is said about Kangana's Tejas, the better.
All these years only two movies were watchable for me ;1- Lakshya 2)Keerti chakra in Malayalam.Rest of the movies including Border were mediocre or shit.

Offtopic, but still,
Can anyone identify the BPJ and com system this pakis have??
