Indian Special Forces

Maybe 25-50 years from now they might do that.
We will have attained a "not-to-be-fucked-with" status by then. Unless they magically open 10 naval stations from Vietnam to Indonesia and Burma, they can't do jack here without getting bombed back to the jade dynasty.

Bangla Para SF will be better equipped

Or

Indian Para SF will be better equipped?

Before you laugh i hope you know Bangladesh is receiving foreign aid for a very near war..

And we all know how Afghani and Iraqi SF have progressed with aid…so have many other countries like Philippines and Malayasia?

So i ask this question in all its seriousness…what will the next 5 years change in Para SF?

Can we expect a 2017-18 kit of European standards to be achieved in 100% Para Units with 80 % soldiers being decently armed or not?

yea but that doesnt work because they still operated with Indian SF in sierra leone

Correct me if am wrong. The SAS provided a Chinook and air crew for Kukhri. That was more like the Multilateral/UN forces pooling resources as such.

The SAS as such were doing their own thing and had been in country for a while. A chuck of the Indian rescue force was sent from India directly for the OP if I remember correctly.

Irrespective - the above was what I was told in the early 2000s and ofcourse things change and nothing is permanent. Though we have zero contact today with UKSF - while regular infantry has done jt training ex of late

I dont think if I can agree with you on all aspects here, I do agree that Op Kukri had all our own manpower in it, the Brits provided us equipment and air crew, Chinook yes

I have heard this interview of MARCO Lt Cdr Ajay Kandwal where he says they train with SBS. The highest India trained with UKSF was in the 1980s, a bit in 1990s too probably but it has gone slow these days. I think MARCOS still train with SBS Reserve and 43 Commando (which sends men to SFSG from Royal Marines) for MCT.

SAS trained Paras atleast acc to public sources as late as 2002-3
