Indian Special Forces

they can't refuse any tasking as they directly come under local command instead of Socom .

read about the case of Maj Manish Bhatnagar of 5 para (then not SF) during kargil war . He asked for more time to prepare for attack during kargil war and ended up getting court martialed .

how deserved it was i can't say but they can't just refuse as the system doesn't work that way .

Also they must be eager to get revenge

He also says his CO denied him newly inducted INSAS and told him to be away with SLRs

All of us are chairborne operators but do you think army will carry out a cross border raid ,I mean afsod has been set up for that purpose or do you all think we will take a different route this time?

if SF raid happens, it wont be instant as it will destroy their surprise element. ideally it should be the airforce again who must take this chance to correct their mistake of 2019 and down atleast 2-3 PAF jets while hammering LOC posts down to ashes with thermobaric bombs while simultaneously winning peoples trust but lets see if this country and its military has any balls

We have the least advantage over pakistan in terms of air superiority as compared to land or water. Whatever happens info war should be handled well this time last time we lost as far as info war is concerned

From what I have heard, AFSOD is still being kind of 'set-up', operators have been sent to other countries for training

But its not like you will send anyone joining the unit for foreign training, they are probably planning to make a 'course/school' or another way to standardize this training in the unit itself [Speculation]

Hence, Unlikely AFSOD is deployed
The only time I see that happening is after theaterization or atleast when we have a certain level of inter-service synergy

I would not do that to be honest.

Some sort of Army operation it has to be.

Naval operations will blow it up into war.

a dozen rafales loaded in AA configuration with only meteors and asraams along with two dozen sukhois armed to the teeth with Air to ground munitions accompanied by 2 phalcon AWACS and lets see if even all 70 f16s of PAF will dare to come. sure the costs of this strike package will be huge but the message of air superiority will be strong enough to make pakistan shiver down to its spine for decades

Yeah just imagine
That is a full scale war. Not sure people would want the situation reaching the nuclear threshold when there are plenty of other options available.
