OPINION

Some time ago, we had this discussion about SG, what is it like, why does it overlaps SF in Kashmir, what even is it's role in COIN if it works for under Cab Sec ???

I think I found the answer in this book written by an ex Army Offcier who served with R&AW also....indirectly hinting us about what the hell are we even doing ??

CASE 1 # WE DO THE SAME THING, BUT WE DO NOT SHARE AND WE DO NOT COOPERATE

CASE 2 # SHOULD R&AW FOCUS ON WHAT MILLITARY IS WANTING ??

CASE 3 # WHO'S DOMAIN IS WHAT ?

This clearly explains the statement by Lt Gen PC Katoch that if SG is doing so and so things why was it not acting as deterrence. My two cents are that TSD was created where SG had failed to deliver. I could very well be wrong. But you can think of this, that no agency in India is flawless.

Also thing might have changed long after this, the book is called: India's External Intelligence: Secrets of RAW, by Maj Gen VK Singh (not the former army cheif)
it was a fun read but blackpilling as well

Another thing the book mentions is how R&AW (and thereby SG) buys equipment from foreign Companies at prices that are more 10 times the market price by altering technical parameters

This explained me an interesting thing:

This guy points out that while the rifle already expensive (and likely ten times more for our R&AW cowboys) has its strengths, but its shaky features make it a questionable return on investment. Especially if your magazine is like that in perfect conditions, imagine the rugged environment we operate in. How stupid of us to make such investments.

Bhai RAW ya koi bhi....paisa limited hai chahiye jitna bhi hai dimag toh laga lo use karne ke liye....so the procurements are fucked not only at the level of MOD but Cab Sec too. Ye log kuch bhi le lete hain

Oh boyy you all have to see this, I am 100% convinced Indian special forces use this exact CQB method, but for the first time I am hearing a reasoning behind it.

Do not judge the thumbnail
They stack the same
They take entry the same
The reload drill for the first man to move behind is the same
Yeah I totally hit it, found it finally, the brains behind it I found it!

This looks professional...unlike Para SF moving like 'ladies' constantly flagging one another

IA Line and Light Infantry units have done good heavy lifting in LC and IB during recent CFV when ops sindoor was in full blow. They lived up to their नाम नमक निशान

And another point most member here seems to be obsessed with c clamp but for AK i believe mag griping is best and comfortable for cqb
and for 716 it is worst but our soldier tend to mag grip it or hold it akwardly due to i believe mlock with bare hands or cut gloves isn't comfortable to c clamp
