Well too many Soldiers keep posting for the Gram. so its not a norm as such. Otherwise they would be shitcanned form their command alot time back.

13 is a good unit with decent drills, operationally they might not have done much but from what ever I have heard (take it with a pinch of salt but I'd say it's trustworthy) majority of the guys were taken from directly 31 RR Cdo or 1 SF, one chap here has had 5 deployments to Kashmir. So even though the unit is new it was made by vetrans. It's obviously attached to AFSOD

The infantry has reduced the gap in terms of handling of firearms and training.

Some ghataks are even as good equipped as SF.

I would personally favour few infantry unit ghataks under a able CO in a hypothetical war game against a newly raised Para SF unit.
