Again, why would they even need to do that? Do you have any video of any other military practising that?

Well I think, Indian SF can have their own tactics developed too.

If its landing under active AA/Brigade/Division specific landings behind the lines - Static jump
If its landing small units deep behind enemy lines - CFF

Both are outdated in today's era when you have sensitive radars looking at you.

Under which scenario would you have the aircraft first perform a tactical descent and then have the paratroopers jump out?

1. When you are already detected by enemy radar while dropping.

2. When you are entering high altitude area especially in Karakoram, where you have narrow valleys running parallel to LOC or LAC. You can't risk to be seen by manpads and radars.

Horizontal direction the aircraft travels more, while in tactical descent it will have two axis motion both vertical and horizontal. The deployment can be concentrated better on landing zone without traveling further.

The stock is like that to stay clear of the ejection port when folded, i agree there were better options but, it has a purpose.
