I would just point to many of the videos that people can see of the veritable clown shows that are demosntrations put on by Pakistani, Belarusian, many third world special forces where literally they break cement blocks on their own heads. They make little cheerleading pyramids and do shoulder rolls and is absolutely idiotic. We might have our CRPF or police 'cum-an-do's doing this kind of crap but never the SF, Garud does cringe itself on news shows hanging out with celebraties and doing the drama but never this shit. And when I look at the nation putting on a special forces demonstration and that's what I see. I truly weep for them as an effective combat force.

That Punisher skull patch is cringe! After importing early GWOT era tech in 2024 are they also importing the same cringe of that era?
As @Corvus Splendens said.. why not use something from your own Mythology!
Nyeeeeeh foren culture cooler

Probably not secular for officers who are products of colonial legacy.

Lord Narasimha tearing apart hiranyakashyap's abdomen will look very good.

This can set off a dangerous precedent, suits a jehadi force or a conscript Army like Ukraine, but not a professional force. Individual units can derive motivation from specific deities but beyond that Army should be strictly secular.
Informal , personal patches are alright .
I would say Don't necessarily design the patch fully on religious character . Use some elements like their weapons or carriers or skill and design the patch around that , its much cooler .

You know what i might not be a good artist but with AI i can try this out someday , we can make a thread about it .... also sell them as merch from DFB

You are underestimating the average IQ of Indians.

We have had many battles in which Muslims have fought under Hindu flag and vice versa.

Its infact the opposite when it came to Christian armies who had a very narrow minded view of this world..who would consider anything that doesnt align with them to be demonic.

And we were here talking about a unit patch and not changing the colonial names of divisions…Not even changing the Christian sword which is the embelem of Indian Army.

21 Para is mostly Christian soldiers still they have wagnak symbol.

And the symbols can be even Sikhism and Christian..Islam has nothing to do with symbols so we can keep them out.

Or simply use a regimental insignia/symbolism that relates to the battalion since a good chunk of para battalions were brought in from other regiments. As an example - a modified version of Kumaon regiment lion for 3 para SF
