Indian Special Forces

What a load of croak. We're making lighter MAGs, just needs furniture. We have PKMs, again just needs furniture. We're buying fukin Negevs. And now we need a Minimi to add to this shitshow ?
We also makes PKMs meant to be mounted in Tanks too. it too needs just a modern furniture and minor changes too.
Btw my take on the buying of Colt LMG

Both Rpk and Colt lmg or IAR are same in the lmg sense

NSG with plate carriers over their NBC kit (finally) goes hard but what in the janky poverty jugaad is this RF antenna setup:

Is he trying to catch a TV signal in the 90s

Would also be interesting to know if these are still SRG or the SAG boys

And whilst I am laughing at weird antenna setups, looks like a camera+ antenna:

Good to be trying new things but these sorts of amateur looking setups always makes me wonder how proficient they actually are with it. Wire management etc are basic stuff that gets squared away quickly if you practice how you fight and practice hard

Aaa it wasn’t going *too* badly but then they flipping ran at the door, what even is the fatal funnel ?

It truly baffles me how bad the average Indian ‘elite’ unit is today with CQB given the nature of the CT/COIN fight they have been in for decades now. Where are the tactics?

Another thing can someone get these guys some PTT and earpieces at the very least if COMTACs are this unobtainable mythical luxury that will never make its way to Indian shores, this kind of 1980s policeman setup is flawed in so many ways. Forget the fact they’ll be broadcasting themselves all day long, it’s not going to take much for these to start flying off in a real world op

Indians should be banned from using SpecOpsArchive and embarrasing themselves

It’s a double low IQ move because if they could’ve made the clip about 5 seconds longer at the start you’d get to see the context was a casualty extract not just pulling his buddy along for fun, then again the ‘casualty’ is sliding his feet about so it is still silly

The requirement for the 'Automatic Rifle' is what led to the creation of the INSAS LMG.
  • 20-30 round polymer magazines
  • Burst fire for rifle and Full auto for LMG
  • Heavier handguard and thicker barrel
Each LMG gunner carries 17 x 30 round magazines into battle and is heavy encumbered by the loadout.

The exercise, shared with NDTV, shows a section - 10 men per section - of the infantry now carries with it two Light Machine Guns (LMG) , one Rocket Launcher, besides personal weapons. Each LMG has about 700 rounds on the weapon and another 500 rounds is distributed and carried separately by soldiers of the section.

In all, soldiers in a section carry 1400 rounds of LMG ammunition packed in 34 magazines on them.

^this sort of thing always makes me incredibly uncomfortable, it won’t take much to turn these drills into a tragedy if these incredibly low in the water zodiacs flip. Life being cheap in India is not enough of an excuse anymore. The leadership of all units has a responsibility to protect their people from basic harm by doing risk assessments and issuing appropriate PPE
