The issue now is how do we get Chinese expertise is component mfg of mobile phones , solar panels , battery chemistry etc without their investments or if the latter can't be denied then in the form of JVs where the Indian partner holds controlling stake especially when the CCP has issued a diktat to Chinese cos not to share such knowledge with India. Also applicable to a host of other fields.

Philippines has a mutual security pact with the US. On the other hand , with this truce between India & China , there's going to be no 2020 style deep incursion the next time around , it's going to be a straight out war across the entire LAC.

This leaves out Taiwan . I fully expect the Chinese to up their harassment of Taiwan 4-5x what it is now . Expect some love for the Japanese & ASEAN nations too in decreasing order.

We're not too far from the preliminary deadline of the PLA to get their modernization & theatre-ization ready by 2027.
