Nice tidbits of information in this piece though how much of the nuggets of information revealed is genuine & how much the usual demented stuff emanating out of Paxtan is anyone's guess.

India’s imports from Pakistan fell to zero in the first five months of the current financial year

In case we can achieve a total disengagement in 5 years, that leaves no economic consequences in case of a conflict.

I don't believe this. Someone went & made this dumb belle the Editor that too of something as prestigious as The Tribune.

Anyway she's actually quite restrained in this interview with Ayesha Siddiqua & a bit sensible as well which makes this episode watchable for the insight into 26/11 attacks , the implications of extraditing Tahawwur Rana , the thinking of the top echelons of Fauji Foundation & the future trajectory of Indo Pak relations among other issues.

The tribune was effectively dhindued in UPA 2. Prior to that it was quite neutral and daily opium for news junkies. Chengappa was first visible pro UPA2 editor.

Tribune still feels better than timeofindia advertorial.
