Without an agreement starlink won't be allowed to operate here . It's as simple as that. Moreover you can be sure it's going to be a pretty oppressive arrangement / agreement.

GoI will have their suspicions & misgivings about Musk & rightly so. If he thinks he can get his way stream rolling us just coz of his proximity to Trump he needs to rethink his approach & agenda .
 
Let him come and present some sort of model which can work here. Currently it is not economical for our market. let us wait for some more time.​

Actually Musk can easily go Jio model and decimate the Fiber's, Starlink planning to have a constellation of 40k-50k sats in orbit with in few years.

And the receivers which are currently being used will be aligned with smartphones,

Indian babus same as Uber MOU with IAF doesn’t care about nat sec part all they need is tactical wins to showcase to technology challenged political class.

Starlink is definable the next step in broadcasting generation but it should be Jio or Airtel that needs to do this not a soon to be deep state partner.

Starlink can not only has negative effects on national security but can destroy Jio and Airtel also in future fck up all Indian atamnirbhar 6G and further ground network dreams

Ambani really need to step up the number of satellites around India to ward off Starlink. China is currently doing the same thing.

He's the most dhandhoest of the suited-booted baniyas in this country, wouldn't take that much of a risk.
Maybe the Tatas will if given generous Govt incentives.

Or perhaps one of those space startups that make satellites will have to make an ISRO collab to do this.

Lehru may be wrong about over 9000 things but he was correct that our domestic suit boot will never have the titanium spine to take risks

To provide starlink like broadcasting ability for high speed internet in India… Jio needs to put at the minimum around 2000 sats (an avg Starlink satellite is around 250 kg) … until unless Jio has its own reusable vehicle its impossible to match Starlink.. Isro can’t do it..

My advice to Modi govt hold on to this better has a deal with Trump on buying US oil if offered on similar prices as Russians .. Elon Musk is basically a white nationalist who was brought up in South Africa everything non white to him he will try to colonise specifically ppl like Hindus who are rather than believing in themselves has a tendency to look for saviours

Well in the beginning they did but was largely discouraged by Nehru and Indira nationalizing. That discouragement has now set in and made part of India cos' psyche. The only companies I see bucking the trend is Kalyani and I think L&T.
 
The british One web is the closest to starlink that any indian company has owing to the stake that airtel has in it . Jio is nowhere close. To match starlink/spaceX. It would have to be a combination of Jio ISRO HAL and X number of new space startups to match it.
I wonder though about the market for highspeed satellite internet. Maybe tourists in remote areas beyond that our remote areas have very low and not so high earning population.

Good omen.. You know where our Gujju, Canadian and Punjabi bros will end up.. Canada bro.. where @GaudaNaresh dream of racially replacing whites will be on fast track :). because bros wont stay in India, they have to get in some where .. Its a compulsion..
