Actually Musk can easily go Jio model and decimate the Fiber's, Starlink planning to have a constellation of 40k-50k sats in orbit with in few years.

And the receivers which are currently being used will be aligned with smartphones,

Maybe the Tatas will if given generous Govt incentives.

Or perhaps one of those space startups that make satellites will have to make an ISRO collab to do this.

To provide starlink like broadcasting ability for high speed internet in India… Jio needs to put at the minimum around 2000 sats (an avg Starlink satellite is around 250 kg) … until unless Jio has its own reusable vehicle its impossible to match Starlink.. Isro can’t do it..

My advice to Modi govt hold on to this better has a deal with Trump on buying US oil if offered on similar prices as Russians .. Elon Musk is basically a white nationalist who was brought up in South Africa everything non white to him he will try to colonise specifically ppl like Hindus who are rather than believing in themselves has a tendency to look for saviours

Well in the beginning they did but was largely discouraged by Nehru and Indira nationalizing. That discouragement has now set in and made part of India cos' psyche. The only companies I see bucking the trend is Kalyani and I think L&T.

The british One web is the closest to starlink that any indian company has owing to the stake that airtel has in it . Jio is nowhere close. To match starlink/spaceX. It would have to be a combination of Jio ISRO HAL and X number of new space startups to match it.
I wonder though about the market for highspeed satellite internet. Maybe tourists in remote areas beyond that our remote areas have very low and not so high earning population.
