OK, I read the news, it seems they are charging for "defrauding US investors", since the company had US investors.

This is something almost all corporations do to their investors using analysts, meida ,brokerage
houses etc.... Still don't understand what the fraud was if he was taking a note and paying whatever
the interest or terms were??? If you go to a bank and take a loan and are doing fraud in your current
business how are you defrauding the bank?? This reminds me a few years ago they wanted to delist
Chinese companies from US stock exchange but could not find a preimse?

It is a nothingburger. These cases typically do not go anywhere.

I do not think Adani will ever face the consequences for his actual wrongdoings (hint: look at his coal import bills).

What’s funny is the timing of this. If it was to be a hit job against Modi govt, then it should have come out earlier and not right after the elections. Or probably they slacked and failed to release on time.
Either way don’t think it impacts Adani any way for now. Bribery charges are hard to prove unless there is a clear money trail.

Americunts are exhausting all their arrows against India, if Indian corporations are actively barred from raising capital in US, it will crush the confidence of Indian economic czars(b it ambani who has bend the knee long ago)

Yeah, most likely, there will be some out of court settlement where he ends up accepting a plea deal and pays some fines and be done with it. A lot of these so called bribery cases do end this way.

There was a similar case with SAP(a well known german company) this year. They paid $220M and settled it outside the court.

Companies with US capital are not suppossed to be engaged in bribing foreign officials to benefit their business..
US Foreign corrupt practises act forbids US citizens from bribing Foreign officials..
So, US citizens who invested in Adani, are allegedly committing Bribery as Adani is suppossedly bribing Indian government officials..
