Israel x Iran Conflict (62 Viewers)

You are responding to a point I never made.

I simply called out those raising Irani nukes as a rationale for us supporting Israel.

Obviously Israel doesnt need anyone else's support when it has the US backing it.

I also didn't call for not cooperating with Israel.

My point was there is no benefit for us from this conflict. In fact, raise in oil prices hurt us.
India has nothing to gain from the Iran-Israel conflict, but Pakistan stands to lose significantly. India should also focus on expanding its electric vehicle sector and building more nuclear power plants to generate electricity—relying on imported crude oil is never a good long-term strategy.

You have to understand umma chumma is just gimmick. Porkies will always chose their US masters over any ummma.

I agree we should work on all aspects that can render us immune from global instability. That would be true irrespective of this conflict.

EVs rely on rare earth. Look what China is doing to us there.

Looks like Iranian Industrial Targets are being struck, if Iran tries to close Strait of Hormuz then I believe USN will intervene and join the conflict.

I believe that's the plan.

Iran won't have any option but to close Hormuz blocking international trade, giving the US rhe rationale to intervene.

It's best for the world if it doesn't reach that level, but it looks inevitable.

If straight of Hormuz is closed then Iran will say good bye to bandar abbas.

This "we will close hormuz" meme is only good as a threat to establish deterrence.

If they actually do it they surely get overthrown, even though the damage to world economy because of exploding oil prices would be catastrophic.

In 2025 and beyond what would be undead version of CENTO be aimed at?
If ungli-ing Russia is the goal, they can just buy the Kazakh/Uzbek/Turkmen regimes?

You mean to say this unholy trinity would be aimed at us?
I'm kinda freaked out about sharing this, so I'm keeping it just here.

Down the road, if the U.S. gets a sweet deal from Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan, it might back a confederation among them. For these Jihadi countries, swapping one Daddy for another isn’t a huge deal.

Back in 2020, Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, Seyyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini, floated the idea of a new alliance with Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Russia, and China.

CENTO, back in the day, was tied to the U.S. and UK, but this new setup could lean on China and Russia instead.

A lot of Indian analysts seem to have missed that the Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul Road Transport Corridor is already up and running under the TIR system. I am not sounding alarmist, but diplomacy is a game of plausibilities.

Russia, looking at things from a nuclear war-fighting nation's angle, with a paradoxical POV from a geopolitical POV, doesn’t want Iran or Israel to become NWS.

But China wants Iran to go nuclear, both from nuclear deterrence nation's POV and geopolitical reasons. So what the Iranian Ambassador suggest is that two big nations, Russia and China aligned. The recent statement by SCO confirms it.

China’s tried to proliferate nuclear weapons through Pakistan, to create as many nuclear pockets as it can.
Remember, it is all about numbers. A nuclear deterrent state automatically becomes a target for a war-fighting one. When they make post-apocalyptic blueprints, it’s always Russia vs. the U.S., and whoever’s got spare nukes after obliterating the nuclear deterrent state wins.

China doesn’t want to be a war-fighting nuclear state but loves keeping the U.S. and Russia distracted. Iran’s doing that job for them now, like Libya did before, not to mention how North Korea made Trump fizzle out. China’s playing it smart, like Chatur from 3 Idiots, thriving while everyone else is busy—and they’re nailing it.

Iran and Pakistan, Sunni Pakistani Punjabi muslim and Pashtuns would never willingly accept to include more Shias into them. There is already so much internal strife between these 2 sects, discrimination from Pakistani Sunnis against Shias in parts of KP, GB and Hazara (Balochistan).

I think in general Turkish population looks down on SE Asian muslims particularly from Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Israel doesn’t need India’s support to take on Iran—they already have the backing of the U.S. If things escalate too far, India needs to stay focused on its own priorities: Pakistan and China.

If Israel wants to buy arms and ammunition from India, they’re free to do so. If India wants to purchase weapons from Israel, it can. At the end of the day, it’s all just business.
Israel will not need to buy anything from India , everything they need will be given free by US like Pakistan.

The facilities that process rare earth minerals are very expensive to set up. India has a very large reserve of rare earth minerals; but, India does not have the facilities to process them. It happens that China meets 90% of the global demand for rare earth products. Being a de facto global supplier of rare earth merchandises, China has the luxury of selling rare earth products at a price cheaper than anyone else. Naturally, for this reason, pretty much everyone including India buys their rare earth products from China. However, China has been playing hardball using its rare earth monopoly lately. This creates a national security issue for India, because rare earth components are heavily used in all military platforms that require electrical or electronics components. Because of this, India is in the process of setting up rare earth processing units in India. I think we are almost there.

Iran has been trying for decades. What makes you beleive they are close? It's just an Israeli justification for war.

When Porkies and Chini have nukes, how does Iran having them make much difference?
If pakis can nave a nuke then everyone should have one? . By the way Iran is a NPT signatory
as if it ever had any meaning. What’s to stop Russia and China North Korea from giving a nuke ready to launch??? This will guarantee that Iran
Gets a nuke in the future with every intention of using it.

Yes, every critical thing you need to import is a lever that can be twisted to bully.

Unfortunately we react only after we face and adversity. Ideally we should have think tanks looking at this strategically and working out when we need investment beforehand.

Congis did not do it for obvious reasons. I don't understand why BJP was so late on so many of these things.
