Should give pause for thought to not just the BJP / RSS but quite a few in the forum for the common strand of thought going around , that being - we stand a better chance of accomodation with the Shi'a than we do with the Sunni whereas our lived experience is totally the opposite.

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was an Ithna Ashari Shi'a whose mother was a Hindu convert to Islam after marriage & a nautch girl.

He harboured a deep complex on account of his faith & more importantly his parentage which our analysts think was the reason he was more hardline on India given he had to put up with slurs of being a Hindu or at any rate half a Hindu.

And now we've another of their kind in power who's treading the same old tired path of being more Muslim than the Sunni.
