I'm serious when I say this-
Buy some hundreds of cheap propeller planes (the kind used for skydiving like a skyhawk 172 but faster and bigger), put a bunch of chapris with mounted, high rpm guns with all tracer round belts on it and let it fly. Propeller planes have a much smaller turn radius than your average jet and they're inexpensive and fully capable of chasing down these drones. Basically a small B17 with no bombing capability and just the design of mounted gunners covering every angle with ball turrets.

Now, the reason why B17 was this huge was because it was a bomber and the guns were merely for self defense from luftwaffe, not offensive dogfighting (lol).
I can see a much more compact plane with fewer engines but the same number of guns being effective in targeting these drone swarms a lot more economically than an Apache or a jet. Would be extremely, extremely easy to make too.
Will be effective as fuck dealing with these blind pre-programmed drone swarms and sounds like a fun time.
