ISRO - General Discussions

Take all the time you need. This mission involves actual Human lives which we can't afford to lose. Be double sure and even triple sure before proceeding with actual human launch.

And the unfortunate part is, the G-1 vehicle was fully assembled at SH, and there were reports that the crew module had arrived. The launch campaign was announced. Some major issue must have been detected, for news of G-1 to vanish.
No G1 wasn't fully assembled, they only started integration of S200 boosters for PR. There were no reports of CM at SDSC, In Jan End ,it was sent to VSSC from LPSC after integration of its propulsion system, Crew Module is still at VSSC as per news reports

Does it mean SCE-200 is ready for flight?

Or still it needs few years of testing.

Damn man, this is frustrating with ISRO due to continuous delays in some critical projects. They are trying and I can hope for the best.
PHTA version of the engine doesn't have main thrust chamber, it only has preburner, Turbopumps, and injector head, hence it is called Power Head Test Article(PHTA), but still a very important milestone, this has proved the metallurgy, design & manufacturing of the Turbopumps ( they should work in oxygen rich & hot environment) , Preburner & most importantly it's ignition sequence, this is a very important test, upcoming version of engine will be a fully integrated engine which means it will have thrust chamber as well

So if everything goes well from now, we can expect the engine by next 2 years

There should at least be more PSLV flights, particularly since they were scheduled. Is it because, as IndxTechStyle says, the satellites are not ready?
