How long would it take to develop such a system, test it and deploy ? If it's gonna hit in 2032 , we have to start pretty much today to geg anywhere.

If the Indian government prioritizes the mission with the same level of commitment as the US Apollo program, we could develop such systems by 2030.

Realistically, if the threat increases to 5%, rest assured US, CHINA, RUSSIA, EUROPE,JAPAN and Elon Bhai will all get involved.

Even if this asteroid doesn't hit Earth, the government should invest in a planetary defense system because India, more than any other country, would be severely impacted by an asteroid impact.
