we did this to one of our friend once.
he was getting married, was on the mandapam, getting ready for the rituals, made our boss call him about some major customer escalation to get server password blah blah, we even did the overacting of opening his laptop infront of him. our friend took it seriously for a few minutes, before realising it was a prank.

i am good at this sort of elaborate planning stuff.

another time in college hostel, i created a fake radio channel with FM mike and a radio, radio in one room and mike with extra antenna made out of clothes hanger and a wire a few rooms away, created a music program of latest songs using walkman, got every one interested after dinner, when enough crowd got used to it, after a few days created a fake interview as if college chairman was being interviewed by radio channel, since a sports competition was just over and one of our friends beat seniors in something(i don't recall), took our friends name, praised him. our friend was over the moon that his name was taken on the radio.

mistake was, interview script went awry when we added Q&A on ragging as well. one idiot batch mate of ours couldn't keep quiet, told this to brother/cousin who was a senior and living in the same hostel. from that night for a month, ragging intensified. seniors felt insulted that without doing proper ragging, their batch name got dragged on air, now we will show what real ragging looks like.
