Randi in telugu means House/home as much as I know. I don't know telagu btw. My cousin is married to a Reddy guy. And when their parents started saying "Randi this , Randi that" , I was stunned to the core.

I thought Randi in Telugu meant "Come" - based on some googling I did after seeing the phrase "Randi Babu" (which had me dying). There's also some South Indian language that uses the word "Loda" - don't remember which one
