In Karnataka no development happens anywhere outside Bang galore . The rest of the state gets bang galored. What are you fretting about ?! At least Belgaon has wonderful weather all year around & up there in North Karnataka is the only city of worth .

Besides North Karnataka has always been a backward area. OTOH if there was no Bang galore in Karnataka , it'd been economically worse than Gerala. At least Gerala has a money order economy. What does Karnataka have besides Bang galore ?

in tribal society there is nothing called rape or corruption... it's all OK... I know what am saying... being rapist or corrupt doesn't dent your image.

Dikshom Guru's son may have thrown freebies or may have elicited sympathy for his treatment at the hand of the dikkus or both phenomena may have occurred simultaneously for the Adivasi vote seems to have consolidated in his favour .

Add Christian + Muslim votes for the UPA alliance. IIRC BJP may not have projected a CM candidate & if I'm not mistaken there's no Adivasi candidate in the BJP of Soren's stature to take on him.

Ya'll Nibbiars till 80's Belgaon had small and Medium scale Industrial units, and Nipani Biddi works, all cessed to exist, most remaining small units are shifting in Kolhapur neighboring Chandgad MIDC, Expect two Aerospace Unit from 2005 in my taluk everyting here is sumsaam, they destroyed the remaining Industrial output since the Khangrsss came up here and raised the electricity tariffs on Industrial units and most migrating to neighboring District now. For the swami's of South, Lingayat of North are subhuman, treat North like personal estate.

Very disappointing results from Jharkhand. Despite their haramkore CM ending up in prison they have voted for him again. Good news from MH. BJP only needs Shinde Sena and ask Ajit Pawar to fuck off if he wants to play political games. Congis have won just 20 seats in MH. They will slowly be wiped out in Rajya Sabha. Even in Jharkhand it is their ally JMM winning most seats. I hope MH is governed solidly for the next 5 years. It is an important state for BJP.

And what have the Lingayats of the north themselves done to improve N Karnataka ? Both the B. Bommai & his appa were the CMs there apart from so many CMs of Lingayat extraction in the past . Kiti dive lavle tyane ? Bolna sopa aahe , kaam karna tevdach kathin.

Not for her, Sana mohtarma didn't bother asking for any Hindu votes despite the alliance, quite a few in this area eg whole of BARC and some areas nearby would have been allergic to voting for an NCP Muslim candidate. At any rate it was expected quite a few of these votes would go to the MNS candidate which would have helped the Yuti candidate sweep this one. It's one of those seats they wouldnt have minded losing because of the image problem it would create.
With 2 rounds she has a slender 1500 vote lead now.

There was a tribal leader of big stature Arjun Munda... but Modi-shah destroyed him to make way for Raghubar das as CM.

Arjun Munda lost the election in 2014 IIRC. How could he be projected as the CM ? In this election both Babulal Marandi & Arjun Munda are back in the BJP after a long time. Yet look at the results.

You can forget about Jaitapur & Ratnagiri Refinery. It's politically too toxic . Not worth the effort if ChUddhav loses thus election . He'd get a massive boost if he spear heads the opposition to both plants there reviving his political fortunes. If I'm not mistaken KSA has already withdrawn from the project. So who's going to partner our oil PSUs in it ?

I think this isn't just a state specific phenomenon, it's pan India.
since 1947 no decent city emerged in vaccum driven by gov policy that wasn't a satellite city of a already established well to do city.
