With air force having lost its edge..its Army holding the line against China and Pakistan.. And Army has held their ground admirably since 2020 Galwan clash.. So, i dont think Mudiji wants to disturb Genrols too much.. But, if the push by China turns into a shove, then we will be in deep trouble..

proven tech is a valid ask, since it reduces the unknowns for a particular weapon system, especially those which have seen combat environment. just like how we have a firm view on drone warfare, because they have proven their utility elsewhere, and how quickly it was adopted within Indian military.

The upper brass will never see this, and even if they did, most will only get defensive. The Infantry is doomed to be like this till we get our asses handed over to us by China
Our army is just meat bags for the jernails to throw at the enemy, curtesy of our long association with the Soviets and the roots of our army structure (British colonial mind set - use the natives as meat bags). It is unfortunate that the two worst strategies came together in our army.
