One expects this equipment profile to mature…

But in India suddenly after 5 years the same unit will put a cloth on top of rails and mounta and calls them world best.

They just look tacticool. No BJP, Scopes, Comm. Other than the fact that they're prancing around all over the landscape, the Maps or Ola-Ubers are much greater threat.

+ No muzzle discipline, no trigger discipline,. flagging everyone and everything left right and centre
(Not saying our troops fare good in Rules of firearm safety, but atleast they are passable)

Bayonet charges are cheaper. I doubt enlisted men even train with scopes in basic. Soviet influence did more harm for army's infantry tactics than good.​

I saw some Small team tactics being instructed to the junior cadre, how much of it is absorbed by them or how importance given to it, I don't know

In a serious country this would be a huge scandal

Not only did they show their incompetence with the mounting but to have retrospectively edited the pictures to hide it from the public is disgraceful- the coverup is always worse than the crime

They are not far off the Pak army that photoshops body armour into pictures of their soldiers after they have died

This is the force with honour and integrity?

Burn it all down

Indian army/ military is going to get absolutely annihilated should they ever go up against China

Clearly why Modi has become such a pacifist, he knows he has few cards to play- generals in all branches are too busy looking out for themselves and not creating any real capabilities. He has less fighter squadrons today than he did when he become PM, almost the same amount of arty guns (200 more makes little difference) and an army that clearly can’t or won’t fight

Other than unguided AT-4 & Carl Gustav, F&F MP-ATGM, top attack NAG/Namica, Helina/Dhruvastra Laser homing CLGM, LOAL SANT I'd say we have more than enough option.

Only slot we don't fill are Lancet-like loitering muntion & NLAW/TOW-like non-linear exploding of EFP warhead that can bypass laser warnings (if it's a beam rider instead of SACLOS).
