Interesting discussion by a distinguished & interesting panel on the mess that is Myanmar & BD & the impact that the Arakan Army taking over the Rakhine state has on the entire region. Definitely worth a watch IMO.

Interesting documentary or rather a monologue. No clue as to the veracity of its claims but if cross checked against OSINT at least a few of the claims & analyses come out as genuine.

Just to clarify , Myanmar Junta won't collapse. It's just that the state's writ will cease to extend to significant parts of the country like it's the case with Paxtan.

So what areas of Pakistan does the Lumber1 can't control? Will there be any equilibrium point where there would be stalemate for a brief period in near future where all parties in Myanmar settle down or would it be permanent perpetual PUBG like Middle-East?

Junta won't collapse because all other ethnic groups are practically running their own countries. They are still dependent on junta as apart from rakhine state others don't have access to sea

Do you think PA controls all of Balochistan or even KPK as of now ? If yes , how do you explain all the attacks happening there almost on a daily basis now ?

As far as Myanmar goes , who knows ? For starters they need to get the support of the Bamar majority who the Tatmadaw there has alienated by dismissing the previously elected government of Aung San Syu Kyi .

Once that is achieved which is actually low hanging fruit , they can move on to tackling the rest of the insurgent groups one way or another.

If they're so dependant on the junta how do you explain the fact that they're still running an insurgency apart from their own states unless it's your contention the junta is providing them arms to fight the junta ?

Btw Myanmar is one of the main states comprising the golden triangle . You can't traffic narcotics to the outside world without access to the sea. It's also their main source of income.
