Hi everyone, I’ve started a new one just like the previous forum.

Kindly use this thread to discuss Law and Order Issues, News and other relevant topics for the states of Northeast India, officially the North Eastern Region (NER), of India, having the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura (commonly known as the "Seven Sisters), and the "brother" state of Sikkim.

How is the law and order nowadays? What is the total tally of Kukis killed and Meltei killed? We need to know who is doing most of the killings and who is doing the dying.

The law and order is cool and sporadic, like today there was heavy fighting in Jiri and clashes with cops

insane how many such killings have been happening in the last decade in this region. any idea who are the perpetrators? The men were all non-tribals so i am thinking the Khasis are at it again

I tried to find out about this not much is known, only one person is identified as a person a 23 years old guy from Nepal. Some are saying this could be related to the drug mafia.
 
We need to go on a widespread offensive and start kicking the doors of every kuki house and search for weapons and arrest every able bodied man and boy over the age of 13 and put them in prisons. Seize their properties and turn them over to Meltei victims as compensation. Seize the assets of the churches and declare them as terrorist organizations. Enough is enough.

You need a spine to do that. It's been a long while since BJP showed some spine.

As of today 3 has been identified, 2 from Nepal one is local, one is still not identified motive is still not known as of now.

these people are normal guys without equipment ,ancient guns and support trying to fight a well trained army with air support and mordern equipments (not to forget the willpowers of our armymen too) sad thing that people in center are sitting idle wjhile these small seeds prosper on the grounds

You can't take this guy seriously, it is memes fest in Manipur, if you see the videos on him you will laugh the whole day. Before to ignore then give importance to it.

LMAO it did gave me a nice laugh for sure but my point is villagers tent towards extremism very quickly and given poppy cultivation of north east in general its hard

All of them have active insurgencies, but most groups have surrendered/become current ruling parties.

All taken from SATP. these start from 2000. Killings were much worse in the first 50 years of independence. Modi government has done a good job bringing relative peace to the NE, if not for the recent flare up in Manipur. But it remains to be seen how long it will last.
