Insurgency in N.E should not be treated the same way we do in Kashmir or Naxal belt. Mostly dialogue and diplomacy are the only way to solve it.

NSCN (IM)has threatened to call off cease-fire in Nagaland if GoI does not agree to thrd party mediation in implementing Framework Agreement of 2015. This is blackmail and GoI must not succumb to it. @AmitShah @narendramodi

We have been fighting against Naga insurgents for over 75 years, but to no avail. All the major N.E groups get financial and Military support from China and most of these groups are headquartered in the Yunnan province. So unless and until we are thinking of carrying out attacks on China, this talk of hard measures is useless

The alternative is politically outmaneuvering these groups, where we have succeeded a lot. We already have brought the dreaded NSCN-IM down from their position of outright independence to a political solution under the ambit of the Indian constitution.I'm sure the remaining differences can be ironed out with talks.

The men, armed with sophisticated weapons, including automatic guns and an rocket-propelled grenade (RPG), attacked a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) post at about 3 pm in the Borobekra-Jiribam area and were killed in “retaliatory firing”, the police said. The area is dominated by the Hmar tribal group.

The weapons recovered by the police included three AK-47s, four self-loading rifles (SLRs), two Indian Small Arms Systems (INSAS), one rocket-propelled grenade (RPG), and one Pump Action Gun, along with bullet proof jackets, helmets, and magazines, the police said.

The Hmar Students’ Association condemned the incident as a “premeditated massacre of Hmar Village Volunteers” and accused the CRPF of involvement.

“Videos circulating on social media, showing the merciless dragging of the dead bodies, confirm the involvement of the CRPF. All village volunteers in Kuki-Zo areas are now on high alert, prepared to defend their people against further aggression,” read their statement.
