Ideally we should have employed EW (especially considering how capable Rafale spectra EW suite is) and jammed their SAM radars (SEAD). Then targeted the SAM sites with rudram anti radiation missiles and hammer bombs (DEAD).

So they utilised a ceasefire to gather ammunition and fortified their position.

India must escalate beyond artillery fire and use air artillery, drones and rockets to soften their grid to bring it back to pre-ceasefire level.

No one here is expecting the government to give us all the details of how many bullets they used and how many jets they lost.
We will buy more jets in case we lose.
Also, readers and watchers need to understand that IAF do not operate on the American doctrine of Air Supremacy but on ingress, raid, front pressing and air skirmishes.

Attrition happens based on the application of your objectives but we aren't looking to escalate this conflict to that level and neither are our current objectives that ambitious

Ofc casualties and material losses will happen in a conflict of this level and I am ready to accept that but being in the dark about it naturally tenses you up, but yeah you are right, don't expect much info on the losses

Neither have the Porkies dared to shell across IB. They want to limit it to PoK as they don't really care what happens to folks there but the Punjabi must not be hit.

Planes are lost in war. So is hardware. So are brave people in the service of their country. Any of this might already be true, or might become true for our side at any time. It's just a fact. Casualties are inevitable. But taking casualties doesn't mean defeat, not by any means.

It's losing our nerve at the news (or rumours) of our own casualties that leads to defeat. If we're going to see this through, every bit of shivering we indulge in over reports of casualties, every act of second-guessing our government or armed forces, is an outright gift to the enemy. ESPECIALLY if done on an internet forum or social media platform.
