Ur assessment is correct however it's gonna rile up many emotional peeps here..AMCA is a wet dream sorry to say it may rile up lots of Desi Toys Boyz ..Back when DFI was there i had posted my personal interaction with a pilot who said ORCA,TEDBF bla bla by 2028 ayega toh F-18 hi hai , when i just go back to the discussion we both had some many things strike right ,,
Aane wala toh F-18 tha but Rafale came out of syllabus in the last moment , which validated his claim TEDBF won't even have a design freezed by 10 years ..
Same like instead of wasting time on AMCA which again will be powered by a murican engine , Better to suck up our ego and go with F-35 at this moment not when US moves its production to F-47 or what ever NGAD is named
If we negotiate and place a order in 2 years time , Muricans can easily deliver 4-5 Sqns of F-35 by 2030 . we can deploy operationalise them and also integrate them into our war doctrine and IADS , its not that you just induct and fly an fighter right into enemy territory next day .
Nd for AMCA mk1 IAF has not even committed 100s of AMCA.. they hv just committed for a paltry no of 40 AMCA mk1 that itself is a giveaway how IAF asses it's capabilities.. IAF will rely more on AMCA mk2 nd unfortunately it will arrive after 2040s..

Nd to add to tall claims were made by IDDM gangs of HAL delivering tejas mk1A once engine delivery starts nd HAL already has few dozens of tejas mk1A airframe lying in their hanger waiting for engines..
Lol guess what.. it's not even delivered yet.. nd HAL will only began delivering in july nd will only deliver 12 mk1A instead of committed 16..
